What did Kannada film superstar Dr. Shiva Rajkumar tell about his film 'Ghost' and his younger brother Puneeth Rajkumar?

New Update

Dr. Shiva Rajkumar, who is a superstar in the Kannada film industry, is also fondly called ‘Shivanna’ by the people. At the age of 24, Umar made his debut in his mother's production film Anand. The 1995 film Om brought him superstardom. His film ‘Ghost’ is coming on 19th October.

Many congratulations to you for your film Ghost, as always you have been seen with a stylist and swag in this film, how was the experience of working with the entire team, would you like to tell something about your character?

The director of this film is very young, I have been in this industry for 37 years, so the seniors like me, and the director were very clear about his vision of how I want to be shown on screen. He had designed everything himself, even the costumes were designed by him himself. Every smallest detail was taken care of, from the hairstyle to the mark you see on my face in the poster. He has done everything with perfection. The scenes are very beautiful and intense. The film is two hours and eight minutes long, and the twists and turns in it are very good, especially in the second half. When you do a bad character, your body language changes accordingly, it is easy to do a bad character, but it is difficult to do a good character. I really enjoyed working.

What was your reaction when you came to know that the name of the project is Ghost?

I liked the title because it suited the story of the film. You will know when you see it.

Sir, there is a scene in the trailer where you are coming out of a car in a black suit, so are you redefining the style statement because you look very stylist in the film?

When you define the scene it becomes beautiful, and why not try something new? Variation depends on what the scene will be like, a simple cigarette smoking style can be shown in different ways, and a character can be shown in different styles at two different ages.

As we have seen in the trailer, was your de-aging part difficult for you to do?

Difficult to say, because you couldn't smile much, you couldn't open your mouth much, because there were some marks on your face. Posture should be correct, performance should be on point. When you look at the younger and older versions of the poster, you will understand the difference. He looks calm, but there is anger in his calmness too.

This was very difficult, because he is thirteen years younger than me, and we still cannot believe that he is no longer with us. This is difficult for everyone to accept, especially for children, they come and hug me, and sometimes they start crying, seeing them cry we all start crying. Children love him very much. Puneet did not become a star today, he was a star since childhood, from being a child actor to becoming a hero, and he was a star.

Puente’s picture is shown at the beginning of the film, the film has been made in his remembrance, what would you like to say about him?

There is a different connection with him, if he had been there, he would have called after watching the film and said that the film was good. I still remember when Bajrangi was released in 2013, he was shooting somewhere, he called me from there, and he told me the scene which he liked, he said while I was watching it, I got Goosebumps. It was done, he explained in detail taking into account my expressions. If he had been alive now, he would have called even when 'Jaila' was released, these are all the things that you remember.

You have received a lot of love and appreciation for your film Jaila, what would you like to say about that?

I myself am very surprised, some magic has happened, I would like to give credit to my director Nelson, production, Rajni sir, and camera man, and the entire team of Jaila. I worked only for four days, there were some eight to nine-minute scenes, but I enjoyed working.

When you go to the set, do you do any preparation for your character?

When I listen to any story, it remains in my memory, and I understand what the character is. When I go to the set, I never go to the set prepared. I go like a blank paper, that paper will be filled by the make-up man, costume, assistant director, director, and cameraman. The remaining characters will support me in filling it. There is a lot happening there, if you go prepared then you will get stuck in that idea.

You have worked in many films in the Kannada industry, is there anything special that you would like to tell about this project?

This is my third film with Sandesh Production, till now I have been their successful hero, I hope and pray to God that this film also remains successful. People should show the same amount of love to our film as we have shown in making it.

What would you like to say to your fans?

Our film is coming on 19th October, come watch the film and give us your love and blessings.
