Rani Mukherji's comeback film Hichki is going to release on February 23 and the actress is nowadays on the promotional spree. She could be seen on various platforms to promote her movie and for the same reason, she was supposed to shoot for Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty's reality show, India's Next Superstar on Monday. But Rani Mukherjee after delaying the shooting schedule decided to cancel the shoot and bailout.
According to a leading daily, the actress arrived on the sets on time, got ready but then her manager came and told the makers that she will not be able to shoot due to a severe backache and fever.
"Initially, Rani had given the time slot of 11am-2pm but it was changed to 3pm-7pm on Sunday. Everyone rescheduled their plans to accommodate her. She arrived on the sets as planned but was in her vanity van till about 4 pm. Karan went to check on her and they chatted for half an hour, after which Rani's manager informed the show's team that she wouldn't be able to shoot. The team is trying to reschedule her appearance since the celebrity guest spot now lays vacant for the episode", a source from the set told the leading daily.
Rani Mukerji was supposed to perform on a medley of songs from Karan Johar's films like Shava Shava from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and a song from Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. She was also going to share her story as a newcomer in the industry to boost and motivate contestants.
