Paired opposite the suave debonair actor Rajeev Khandelwal, the engaging ‘Miya Biwi..’ series is all about a dysfunctional marriage and how one night changes everything with twists and turns, and a dash of sensuous erotica, informs Manjari.

Interestingly, the recent past season has been maha-lucky for Manjari work-wise, because she has had a line-up of projects releasing including Marathi scare-fare-crime-thriller movie ‘Adrushya’ ( in a double-role as blind twin-sisters) directed by the acclaimed Kabir Lal, then there was ‘psycho-thriller’ Masoom, and prior to that was ‘Yeh Dooriyan’.

“Living up to its name, my co-star Paresh Pahuja and I literally shot OTT series ‘Yeh Dooriyan’ maintaining long-distances between us during the corona-lockdown. Because we shot from respective houses and I ended up doing ‘multi-tasking’.

Everything was do-it-yourself as it was a ‘shoot-from- home’ scenario But it was a challenging yet enriching, learning experience for me, “ shares Manjari with ecstatic joy in her eyes.

When quizzed, on what fascinated her about her lead role in her latest ‘Miya Biwi.Aur Murder,.’, the outspoken Manjari reveals, “ I’m thrilled to play this quirky yet savvy-smart unusual fun-character Priya in Miya Biwi Aur Murder of a police-officer’s wife.

Her ever-busy husband has no time for her and she’s bored out of her mind & decides to go on a ‘secret-date’ through a dating app & it ends up turning into a deadly night !

What happens then and & how both of us work together as a team-couple forgetting their marital- differences to survive those seven hours in the night,” She continues, My wacko character loves all jasoos-detective crime-investigation shows and has watched every episode from CID to CSI Miami.

So her knowledge about crime, how to cover tracks, criminal mind & forensics is super . Yet it’s half-knowledge. But how she uses that half-knowledge and comes out with bizarre-crazy ideas to survive the mad night is worth-watching.

OTT Viewers will be in possibly for a jolt-shock to hear such dark crazy ideas coming from an otherwise innocent looking character, “ enthuses Manjari who shares the ajeeb coincidence that her screen-hero Rajeev Khandelwal’s real-life biwi’s name is also Manjiri (Kamtikar. Which in turn had caused a mistaken-identity mini-sensation of sorts in the news-media.

Not just a brilliant spontaneous actress, Manjari is an excellent singer, an agile dancer and also a terrific theatre-drama actress. She seems to be ‘unstoppable’ as far as her success-graph is concerned.

Doesn’t matter whether he is from the film industry or from any other field. What essential qualities would she look for, in a prospective life-partner ?
