When Rumi Miyaan Saw his daughter as a bride, he saw the divine goddess in front of his eyes. 

RUMI MIYAN NE JAB APNI BETI ALFIYA KO DULHAN KE ROOP MEIN DEKHA, UNKA ROOH ROM ROM KHIL GAYA ...      AUR USKE MUMBAI KE DOST HYDERABAD PAHUCHE ALFI KE SHAADI MEIN SHAAMIL HONE  KE LIYE.

      God (or call him bhagwaan Or Alaah) is the first and the greatest writer. The more I see people and observes their lifes, the more I believe that God is a writer who creates the greatest stories after he creates a man or a women. How the stories of men and women grow along is decided and described by this great writer call God. He writes good stories, happy stories, sad stories, love stories and he has not stopped writting stories ever since he created the world   .  He is undoubtedly  the most prolific writers because if he was not, the world would not be what it is.

          These are lines I have been inspired to write after knowing the story of my young writer and director friend, Rumi Jafry...

     It is almost 25 years since a very young and handsome man from the city of" Sahitya Shair shaayari aur  rajneeti",  Bhopal came to Bombay in quest of a career as a writer in  hindi films. He had both the flair to write and narrate  stories which got the attention of many and he found a friend and an admirer in Rishi Kapoor who was so impressed with his writing and him that he recommended him to all those he knew and within a matter of time, Rumi Jafry was a known and successful writer. He continued writing for the next many years and even broke records, like his record of writing more than twenty flims for the director David Dhawan and Govinda. His friend Rishi Kapoor continued to be his guide and mentor and saw how his friend Rumi kept growing from success to greater success.

       Rumi's life took a new turn when he got married and even at his marriage reception, Rishi who was a very big star, made it a point to attend his wedding reception. Rumi was not writing flims for Rishi regularly, but his friendship with stood strong till the very last days of Rishi.

  Rumi took one more big step when he directed Amitabh Bachchan in " God Tussi Great ho " and he has followed it with "Chehre " another flims with Amitabh, which is now streaming  on  OTT platforms which is produced by an ambitious man called Anand Pandit. Rumi has many other ambitions and dreams,recently he has fulfilled his most beautiful dream, he arranged and has completed the celebrations of the marriage of his daughter Alfiya. The marriage of Alfiya and Amir Haq was celebrated in Hyderabad last week.

Rumi was a little sceptical about his guest from Mumbai attending the marriage and the reception because of the on going pandemic, but he was surprised and moved when a whole lot of his friends and Well-wishers flew down to the city of the Charminar to celebrate Rumi's garnd occasion with him.

Among Rumi's guest from Mumbai where Randhir Kapoor ( he was not very well and was on a wheelchair, but he said he had to attend the wedding because if he didn't, his mother Krishna Kapoor and his brother Rishi Kapoor would be disappointed with him) , Neetu Singh ( the wife of his dear friend Rishi) , Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, David Dhawan and Lalee Dhawan, ( they have been a part of Rumi's success story) Sajid Nadiawala and his beautiful wife Vardha, Bonny  Kapoor, Rita Rawail Rajat,  Salma Agha, Zara Agha, Sachin Tilgaonkar and his wife Supriya, Satish Kaushik, Johnny Lever, NR Pachisia , music director Sajid Wajid, singer Javed Ali, Genelia Dsouza and Ritesh Deshmukh and politicians like Shahnawaz Hussain, Jaffer Islam, Vishwas Sarang, K C  Tyagi, Rajeev  Shukla and Jwala Prakash.

      When Rumi returned to Mumbai, he was glowing with happiness and I saw God's story for Rumi taking a new and exciting turn . Where this twist of God will lead Rumi is something only the great writer above  knows and will not let anyone knows, not even Rumi because he has the copyright of his stories which he will not give to any of the writers of the world  .  Keep watching the story of Rumi Jafry and you will know why I know and believe that their can never be a greater writer than  God, a writer who creates writers who can be great and successful but can never be a greater writers than God.

    In the meanwhile, I wish Rumi  and his wife, and his daughter alfiya and his son in law Amir Haq all that God can give them as gift to live a very happy, peaceful, healthy and prosperous life    .
