Versatile revered Bollywood star Anupam Kher seemed delighted as the mascot celeb-actor for inaugurating the CINTAA-CPAA series of Medical check-ups camp at CINTAA ( Cine & TV Artistes Association) Mumbai office - Chaitanya Padukone
The health preventive check-up camp was held on Aug 15th afternoon to coincide with and to commemorate our Nation's 75 years of Independence.
It also symbolized periodic efforts of Cine & TV Artistes Assocn-Members and their families to get freedom from ill health ailments with regular preventive-diagnostic checkups.
The inaugural and the diligent medical check-ups that followed also saw the proactive presence of celeb-members Amit Behl , Tina Ghai, Abhay Bhargava, Deepak Qazir-Kejriwal, Ravi Jhankal, young lead actor Vardhan Puri ( ‘late’ Amrish-ji Puri’s talented lead-actor grandson) , and also Anita Peter from CPAA, Rajiv (Amrish) Puri and Rotary Club President Suvendu Mishra. Incidentally ‘CPAA’ stands for “Cancer Patients Aid Association”.
As an exemplary spontaneous gesture Anupam Kher ( of mega-hit movie ‘Kashmir Files’ fame) himself also got his primary check-up done. While speaking to the media, Anupam said, "For genuine noble and welfare causes, I always try to make myself available and I highly appreciate this noble initiative of CINTAA and as well as that of The Rotary Club of Mumbai Airport that is benefiting the common man especially the Cine & TV Artistes.
Apart from this, Anupam Kher ( always known for his patriotic fervor) extended his full support to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi's Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and said, "I appreciate Modi-ji's Har Ghar Tiranga mission-campaign and I am seeing every house, every street, people are following this campaign.
I have never seen such a massive campaign before and this patriotism and spirit should come from within.
Women power should always be respected. Must add that I am a member of this Artistes Association ( CINTAA) ever since my first movie ‘Saaransh’(1984) and I am always there whenever they need me.
Whichever department we may specialise as part of filmy biraadari, hum sab ka dil-hai-Hindustani’, “ expressed Anupam Kher who also pointed out that as compared to several other foreign countries which have rigid restrictions, India enjoys maximum freedom of expression—both for individual citizens and for media.
Both Anupam and Amit Behl also paid rich tributes to ‘late’ iconic actor Amrish Puri (President of CINTAA from year 2000 to 2005) to whom the current medical camp was dedicated. Revered Amrish Puri-saab’s portrait was respectfully displayed at the Office and floral tributes were placed around the frame.
Speaking exclusively to me, acclaimed versatile actor Amit Behl who is CINTAA General Secretary, shared that “these medical camps were being organized since past four years since there was an apparent lack-of-awareness of regular preventive diagnosis-check-ups especially of critical ailments and effects of mental over-stress and depression-anxiety and even post-Corona recovery health problems within most of the film and TV industry Artistes and their families.
We also have tie-ups with various hospitals. We have a new almost-ready building coming up called CINTAA Tower (near Kokilaben Ambani Hospital) which will also include a Medical Center. Also there are income-tax benefits ( under Sec 80-G) available for donations made to Cine Artiste Welfare Trust.
Periodical mental-health workshops are also being conducted by us and tackling effects of physical and mental over-stress and overcoming depression-anxiety. With current President esteemed senior actor Vikram Gokhale-Sir, our CINTAA is also affiliated to international organizations like FIA (International Federation of Actors) which has over 87 member organisations in more than 60 foreign countries around the world., “ discloses dynamic Amit Behl who with his dedicated team has further plans and more CINTAA events lined up, in the months to come.
