While Glam Beti Shanaya Gets Groomed For Her Screen-Debut , Dad Sanjay Kapoor’s Cameo Proves A Sensation In ‘Mission’Mangal’

Otherwise a brilliant classy actor, Sanjay Kapoor has mostly been under-rated or taken-for-granted . All that is now past history .  As if with a streak of vengeance, the smart-boy Kapoor has started his next innings . Thanks to his intriguing role in web-anthology ‘Lust Stories’ opposite Manisha Koirala which in turn fetched him the mind-blowing cameo role in mega-hit ‘Mission Mangal’ as Vidya Balan’s nagging husband.  For Sanjay it came as a  startling revelation when he got ‘hey-what-a-cool-dad-yaar’  thrilled responses from youngsters and even their parents, after they watched him chill-out his aggressive stance and start gyrating to his own retro-song ‘Akhiyaan Milaoon’ in the riveting pub-disco dance-post dialogues scene. Originally, he was to have danced to the iconic John Travolta retro-song ‘Staying Alive’ , but due to legal restrictions, it turned out that he was destined to dance to his own song from Raja (1995).  Sanjay will be seen playing  screen-father to his real-life niece Sonam K. Ahuja, in this upcoming movie ‘The Zoya Factor’ . “It was a wonderful bonding with Sonam, “ shares the ‘Mubaarakan’ hero, whose  stunningly beautiful daughter Shanaya Kapoor will be launched in the near future. Currently, Shanaya is an ‘assistant director’ for one of Karan Johar’s upcoming movies and is learning the tricks to the tinsel trade. Incidentally, the heroine of this venture is her own cousin Janhvi Kapoor. “ It’s essential that Shanaya should experience and imbibe the practical basics of film-making before she gets finally groomed into a heroine,” is what dad Sanjay ( who plays the lead in an upcoming new web-series)  justifies. Which as one is aware, is the case with almost every star-kid
