WHOA! MONICA BELLUCI TO COME TO MUMBAI FOR MAMI FESTIVAL!

Monica Belluci, a woman who refuses to age, is coming to India! Best known for her roles in The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, The Passion of the Christ and also for being the oldest Bond girl at friggin' 50 in Spectre, the Italian actor will head to Mumbai for the MAMI festival being held from October 12-18.

According to a report in Indian Express, she will be the first recipient of a special award instituted by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) to honour prominent women artistes in international cinema. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap will be in conversation with Bellucci at a masterclass during the festival.

Belluci further expressed her excitement and delight on visiting India, “I am very touched and honoured to receive an award at the Mumbai Film Festival as well as presenting some of my films there. It is very exciting to come to India for the first time.” She also thanked the organisers for extending the invitation to her. Anupama Chopra, the festival director, told IANS, “Monica Bellucci is an incredible actor, and to my mind, the most beautiful woman in the world. I’m so thrilled that she can come and be with us at the festival.”

Among Bellucci’s films that will be screened are On The Milky Road and Irreversible. Besides that, our very own Shah Rukh Khan is excepted to host a dinner at his place for the beautiful actress. Can't wait for her to arrive, eh?
