WHY CAN'T SALLU BHAI HAVE A HEART THAT TALKS...AND CARES ?

I am surprised with the way I am sick and tired of listening to people cringing, complaining, crying and criticizing Salman Khan (so what if he has the best rippling muscles in the city ? ) About his writing a poem describing his concern about the Corona pandemic in Mumbai and in the World .How can some people with a biased mind and a striped heart expect Salman to write poetry like Shakespeare or Wordsworth or Byron or Shelley or our own poets like Sahir Ludhianvi,Majrooh or Shailendra or Gulzar or Anand Bakshi or even write prose like his father Salim Khan ?

Sallu bhai is an actor first and has proved to be a very successful actor for the last thirty years. He has been an actor with a heart and has proved it with the Salman Khan Welfare Trust he runs with the help of his father and the Being Human Foundation. He has been doing other humanitarian work for society and has been recognized for his goodness of heart even though he has been embroiled in controversies from time to time and has rarely been at peace with himself.

Sallu bhai was seen in one more of his avatars when he decided to help twenty five thousand workers of the Industry directly. He has now written a rap number with his friend Hussain Dalal which has been composed by two of his other friends, Sajid and Wajid. He has also sung the number and it is the rage of every place it has been heard in.

Read the lines below and you will not find great poetry of philosophy in them.But you will certainly find the outpourings of a carrying and loving heart In these dark and dreary times.It is not philosophy and poetry that is needed, but a little love, a little care ,a little concern, a little worry for every human being, for a neighbour ,for a suburb, for a city,for the country and for the world .That is just what you will find in this poem which is more than a poem because it comes straight from a loving and caring heart.

I again agree that this is not great poetry. But does it mean that there is love and good sense only if there is poetry ? This pandemic has thrown up any number of home- made poets and shaayars and I think Janaab Salman Khan is a welcome addition to the ranks of poets and shayaars created by Corona who has left a mark which will be remembered for long.
