Why is Anuj Sachdeva playing a negative character in the serial Dhruv Tara?

Anuj Sachdeva has been an actor as well as a model. Sachdeva has worked in films, television commercials, and TV shows. He participated in the reality show 'MTV Roadies' in 2005. Sachdeva is known for the role of Amrit in 'Sabki Laadli Bebo' and the role of Sahil Sengupta in Colors' popular show 'Swaragini - Jode Rishton Ke Sur'. He has worked in romantic comedy films like 'Hawa Hawai', and 'Love Shagun' and two Punjabi films 'Pollywood Me Haani' and 'Police'. Now he will be seen playing the character of Mansen in Sony SAB's popular show Dhruv Tara.  

How did you decide to do this show and play this character?

This was a last-minute decision. I don't do television that much. At night I got a call that you have to come tomorrow, do the look test, and start shooting. I think actors have very different minds, sometimes you take an instant decision and they feel that this thing should be done and they do it. I had never worked with Shashi Sumit Production before so I had to work with them because I had heard a lot of good things about them. It takes some time in the beginning, I liked the fact that my character was negative. To play a negative character you have a lot to experiment with. In a positive character, you have limitations, but I think this is not the case in reality. I had to do realistic things and that's why I said yes to the character. Like today's scene, I have tried to do a little comedy in it, I can experiment with it, and I can do something new by getting inspired by Khilji.

How has your experience been working with the rest of the cast?

It's been good. I hope that he also has a good experience working with me. I don't know when you ask him he will tell. We haven't talked that much yet, I stay in my make-up room only. There was a time when I used to talk a lot, I still do but I try to stop myself from talking too much on the set. Earlier, I used to talk to people a lot, go out with them, and have parties, but I have recently joined the ongoing show here. One person I already know here is Karanvir Grover. It feels good working with him. Right now things are developing, and as it progresses I will get to know more people, like today was my first scene with Tara.

What would you like to say to your fans?

Fans were waiting for a long time for me to do something. Now I want to do something so that people know me because of my performance. Earlier people knew me because of my looks and screen presence but now I want people to know me because of my work.
