Why Raima Sen remained ‘cool’ during her dare-bare ‘hot-shots’ ?

In stark contrast to the popular images of her sizzling ultra-glam actress-sister Riya Sen and her actress-mother (former M.P.) the mesmerizing Moon Moon Sen, the otherwise de-glam image actress Raima Sen was known more for her dignified aura - Chaitanya Padukone

But what has now pleasantly jolted most of her frenzied lakhs of fans are Raima Sen's latest oomph-oozing dare-bare seemingly top-less pictures shot by Tathagata Ghosh.

A section of prudish viewers have raised their eye-brows wondering if she was in her comfort-zone.

However, the outspoken yet ‘reinventing-by-nature’, Raima clarifies that "she was indeed very comfortable shooting those pictures.

They were not all that bold. Plus, I am not a shy person," reveals the slim,shapely actress who discloses that they shot those hot-shots pictures on her building's terrace, just a day before the lockdown began.

“In fact, previously I have done bolder shoots than this," she counters. Unfortunately, the talented, sensuous looking actress Raima Sen has been denied her share of accolades, in Bollywood despite having acted in over 22 Hindi feature films including ‘Parineeta’, ‘Dus’ and of course in ‘Bollywood Diaries’.

Where Raima Sen impressed as lead character Imli, a Sonagachi sex-worker who fantasizes to be a Bollywood actress.

Then there was the gripping thriller ‘Vodka Diaries’ where she played a sober character of a psychiatrist.

As is known Raima, who has this striking resemblance to her ‘late’ legendary actress grandmother Suchitra Sen ( of ‘Aandhi’ fame), has acted in over 25 mostly meaningful, maverick Bengali films as well, including the iconic ‘Choker Bali’ and ‘Maach, Mishti & More’ and more recently ‘Sitara’ .

Versatile Raima was also appreciated for her Hindi-Bangla short film titled ‘Mehmaan’ which was part of original content on ‘ZEE5’ .

Enthuses Raima,“It’s an exciting honour that my short film ‘Mehmaan’ was showcased as part of the digital OTT ‘ZEE 5’ “ She also featured in two more Hindi movies ‘Tridev’ ( a spoofy comedy with a social message) and ‘Varanasi’ (based on the true story of ‘Sankat Mochan’).
