New Update
Although he may have faced budget constraints, bade-dilwale and cinema-passionate Yogesh Verma went ahead and hosted a grand premiere of his debut directorial Hindi film ‘A Winter Tale At Shimla’ at the Juhu PVR theatre.. The mushy romantic wintry Shimla-centric unconventional tale with an undercurrent of crime-intrigue-suspicion peppered with gripping-suspense moments, has released today ( May 12). The movie cast boasts of talented names like telly-shows-celeb Gauri Pradhan-Tejwani making her 'cinematic debut' opposite Indraneil Sengupta and Deepraj Rana supported by Rituraj Singh, and Eshita Shah and Niharika Chouksey. Making their impactful big-screen debuts are popular model-actress Nikhita Chopra and actor Angad Ohri. They both convincingly play the younger student version of the adult lead-romantic pair –Gauri and Indraneil in the flash-back scenes. The celeb guests at the late-night premiere included Rajneesh Duggal & Pallavee Duggall, (Gauri’s real-life husband) Hiten Tejwani, producer-actress Gunjan Kuthiala, Hansa Singh, Arjumman Mughal, Rakesh Bhosekar, Dj Sheizwood, Prashant Virender Sharma.
Almost everyone from the invited audience, who watched the film premiere show, seemed highly impressed with Gauri Pradhan’s impactful big-screen debut as the bold, independent, gutsy lead character as Vaidehi in ‘A Winter Tale At Shimla’ directed by creative maverick Yogesh Verma.. “Like Shah Rukh Khan, even actress Gauri in a complex role emotes so effectively with her eyes, especially in sensitive scenes when there are no dialogues”, reacted a young couple, after watching the show..
Taking the stream of compliments, in her long stride, the dignified style-savvy model-actress Gauri seemed ‘emotionally-moved’ as she shared. “Honestly, It’s such a thrilling experience to watch myself on the big-screen in a movie ‘A Winter Tale at Shimla’ that too in a performance-oriented romantic yet intense lead role . Even my seasoned actor-husband Hiten has loved my performance. Am quite confident that my loyal fans will watch my debut and appreciate my acting in this movie. Although I am quite preoccupied as a Yoga-instructor conducting my regular on-line yoga sessions for both Indians as well as overseas NRIs from the UK and the US, I am definitely open to more acting assignments----provided they are exciting enough,” assured Gauri who also clarified to me that she “was born in Pune and not in Jammu-Kashmir”, as incorrectly mentioned in the Wikipedia.
