Will Rama Resign From His Post And Leave The Kingdom In Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama?
New Update

Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama - a witty, quick rendition on the age old story continues to challenge audiences with its gripping tale. With Rama (Krishna Bharadwaj) trying to advance his status in the kingdom, he finally makes it to the level of ‘Ashtadiggaj’ – a counsel to the king. The upcoming track, however, leads him into questioning his own abilities.

With Rama finally making it to the elite group of Ashtadiggaj, Tathacharya (Pankaj Berry) goes away to do tapasya, where he finds an extremely wise boy, named Mahesh Das. The boy also known as Birbal (Bhavesh Balchandani), managed to impresses Tathacharya with his wisdom and wit. Tathacharya then gets him to Vijaynagar in order to have him compete with Rama. With a case of an empty letter arriving in the court, both Rama and Birbal try their hands on solving it. However, Birbal outruns Rama in decoding the letter, which turns out to be a warning for an attack on Vijaynagar and they save the kingdom by defeating the attacking clan. Birbal being more efficient than Rama, Tathacharya raises question on Rama’s stature which results in him competing with Birbal in a few tasks. Eventually, it comes to Rama’s realization that Birbal, really, is wiser than him and he makes the decision to leave the kingdom and his post.

Krishna Bharadwaj playing the role of Rama said, “It was really important for Rama to get promoted in his position for him to know his importance in the darbaar. However, after making it to the Ashtadiggaj and with the entry of Birbal, Rama is in a run for safeguarding his stature in the kingdom. Shooting for this sequence gave us a lot more insight into these historical characters, which is always enlightening.”
