With iconic Shah Rukh Khan as her "inspiration", regional celeb actress-model Rima Guha Thakurta all set to enter Bollywood !  by  Chaitanya Padukone

Stunning model and regional films glam-star-actress  Rima Guha Thakurta ( known for her diverse roles in Bengali movies) is excpected to  make her grand entry into Bollywood movies very soon.. A self-confessed die-hard fan of mega-star Shah Rukh Khan , the outspoken Rima  considers  the debonair Khan  as  her distant inspiration-mentor. Coincidentally I spoke to her on phone on November 2^nd evening, which happened to be mega-star SRK’s birthday.  "There are quite a few common factors between SRK-Sir and me, including my birthday, which also falls on the 2^nd  (May) ,” confides the dulcet-voiced Rima who is very fluent in correct spoken Hindi .

Recently  the charming Rima ( Maa Durga-devi staunch devotee) made her striking ethnic presence felt at various prominent Durga Puja pandals in Mumbai  including the star-studded North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Pandal at the Juhu-Tulip Star Lawns.  Evidently, photogenic Rima is also a graceful dancer and a social-media influencer and  has worked in modeling, web-series, ad films  besides several Bengali films. Says Rima,who is academically well-qualified  in the Mass Media-Comm faculty.  “ Although I had never planned to become a movie-actress, I guess it was divine destiny which charted out my acting career . At the same time, I always felt that  there was a creative artist hidden within me since childhood.  With my photogenic looks,  I got finalized for modeling and ramp-modeling. During that phase, a famous Bengali movie director recognized my potential and decided to cast me in a Bengali movie. Then there was no looking back  and steadily I acquired the confidence and acting-craft-expertise to  become a regular movie-actress , “ explains Rima  whose current priority focus is on big-screen Hindi Cinema

Continues the frank-natured  articulate  'Bong' actress. “ Initially, I  wish to do romantic lead movie-roles preferably big-screen cinema, masala films, action crime-thrillers  Later on, I may also consider lead roles with grey shades  to prove my versatile caliber and I am open for OTT films if the OTT platform and the director is also reputed enough and my role is exciting,” says Rima Although her favorite ‘dream-hero’ is Ranbir Kapoor she wishes to work with every talented lead actor. “Every actor has his own distinct charisma and strength. Vicky Kaushal ,Varun Dhawan,Ranveer Singh ,Kartik Aryan ,Ayushmann Khurrana,Rajkumar Rao All are  amazingly good in their own way Whatever good opportunities will come  my way, I will work with dedication, diligence and passion”  insists ‘selective’ self-trained Rima who is not in a desperate hurry to grab every other offer. Among her favourite top Hindi film directors are -Imitiaz Ali ,Anurag Basu, Sanjay Leela Bhansali  and Anurag Kashyap.
