Yes, it is official. Amruta Khanvilkar, who beautifully manages to get the best of both worlds be it Hindi or Marathi is taking on a different role altogether in collaboration with ‘Planet Talent’. She’s is going to be the Pied Piper for the many hidden and underrated talents in Maharashtra. The ‘Raazi’ and ‘Katyaar Kaljat Ghusali’ actress has joined hands with Forbes fame Akshay Bardapurkar who runs India’s largest Marathi digital platform ‘Planet Marathi’ to start a company called Planet T. “There is talent hidden in Maharashtra which needs to reach out to the audiences and the makers in a certain way be it Hindi or Marathi. They have the talent, but then they don’t have a voice and they do not have the right agencies representing them to take their talents to the national and the global stage. When I met Akshay Bardapurkar and realized that he also comes from an event management background many moons ago, we came together to put a plan to take local talent global. We want to represent young actors, brilliant writers, directors who have the X factor to make it big,” says Amruta. Akshay who is also bankrolling the Amitabh Bachchan- Vikram Gokhale starrer AB Aani CD says, “It was Amruta’s idea. I am into digital, plus I am producing films and have been in the entertainment industry for more than a decade and a half and have built many bridges in the said time.
