It is time for a homecoming with the 20th anniversary edition of the IIFA Awards being hosted for the first time ever in India in the home of Hindi Cinema, aka Bollywood, Mumbai. The spectacular event will be hosted in Mumbai this September.

The star-studded annual ceremony is all set to witness a grand celebration of Indian cinema’s finest talent, glitz, glamour, global dignitaries, world media, fans and enthusiasts from across the globe right here in Mumbai -the heart of the very vibrant entertainment capital of the country marking the 20th celebration of the IIFA journey.

To mark the 20th edition of the biggest annual global celebration of Indian cinema, theInternational Indian Film Academy announced THE IIFA BIG 20to honour the best among the winners over the glorious past 19 years.Adding to the excitement of the highly awaited star-studded NEXA IIFA Awards, to be celebrated this September in Mumbai- The City of Dreams and home to Bollywood and its stars, IIFA announced five Special Awards to celebrate the Winner Among Winners, the nominees for which would include all winners over the last 19 years.
The IIFA Big 20 would highlight winners across five popular categories:
 Best Performance In A Leading Role (Female)
 Best Performance In A Leading Role (Male)
 Best Director
 Best Music Director
 Best Picture

International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards announces its 11 Popular Category nominations for the 20th edition of the NEXA IIFA Awards. Rounding out the 11 Popular Categories are Best Picture | Direction | Performance in a Leading Role (Female & Male) | Performance in a Supporting Role (Female & Male) | Music Direction | Best Story | Lyrics | Playback Singer (Male & Female) as Global Voting is now LIVE and open to everyone at https://popularawards.iifa.com/. Indian Cinema has had an incredible year with a varied number of truly distinctive films that not only took the box office by storm but were also critically acclaimed fetching rave reviews.Details of the 11 Popular Categories are:
 ‘Andhadhun’ leads the way, amassing the highest number of nominations, 13 in total, ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Raazi’ comes close seconds with 10 nominations each followed by ‘Sanju’ with 7, ‘Badhaai Ho’ with 6 Nominations.
 The top picks for the Best Picture category are Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho, Padmaavat, Raazi and Sanju.
 The nominees for Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) are Alia Bhatt (Raazi), Deepika Padukone (Padmaavat), Neena Gupta (Badhaai Ho) Rani Mukerji (Hichki) and Tabu (Andhadhun).
 The nominees for Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) are AyushmannKhurrana (Andhadhun), Rajkummar Rao (Stree), Ranbir Kapoor (Sanju), Ranveer Singh (Padmaavat), Vicky Kaushal (Raazi).
 Nominations for the best Direction category are Andhadhun- SriramRaghavan, Badhaai Ho- Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Padmaavat-Sanjay LeelaBhansali, Raazi- MeghnaGulzar and Sanju- RajkumarHirani.
