By Team Bollyy 15 Aug 2021 | Updated On 15 Aug 2021 06:30 IST in Ali Peter John New Update Follow Us Share The partition between India and Pakistan has been one of the most bitter and grin realities of the history of the world - Ali Peter John Whoever has been a part and a victim of the partition can never forget all the misery bloodshed the pain and the suffering lacks of human beings had to face when they crossed from one country to another (from Pakistan to India and from India to Pakistan). The political and other leaders had played their parts (games) and had created the partition, but lakhs of people had to suffer and even die miserable deaths as they walked into the new country of their choice . Men , women and children walked in all kinds of weather by day and by night, without any shelter, without food and without water to drink . Some succeeded in crossing the border and many didn't, but the realities of the partition can never be erased from the minds of the people who were refugees during their walk towards fought their leaders told them was a new and bright future... Among those refugees who crossed into India were some of the leading heads of industrial empires, leaders of political parties, holy and unholy villagers leaders and celebrities and legends of the world of hindi cinema . Baldevraj Chopra was a flim journalist when he and his family decided to leave Pakistan and to live the rest of their lives in India . Baldev with his educational background and his knowledge about life and flims rose to be one of the leading flim makers of the Naya Daur of India and his banner, B.R Flims was a landmark in the history of hindi cinema. His younger brother Yash Chopra was to be an ICS officer, but he too followed in his brother's footsteps and grew into a legend as big as his brother and made some of the most memorable films of India. And his banner, Yash Raj Flims is one of the most prestigious banner and it is being run by his son Aditya Chopra. Ramanand Sagar was also originally from the other side ( usspaar) and had made a name for himself when he wrotes books like "Ek tb patient ki diary " he left the new Pakistan with his wife and their four little children in their journey to the unknown land . He and his family had to undergo the kind of humiliation and suffering very few human beings must have suffered. He feels and believes that he and his family landed in India just because of the prayers of his wife, Prabhabati . He wrote a novel about his experiences during the partition and how man killed man only to survive . His novel " aur insaan maar gaya" with a foreword by Khawaja Ahmed Abbas created a strong in the literary world and his novel was translated into more than twelve languages of the world. It was the beginning of a new life for Rammand Chopra who had taken the name Sagar after a rare encounter he had with the sea at the Juhu Beach in Bombay one morning when he had lost all hope for himself and his family. Ramanand Sagarr who was soon one of the most successful writers and flim makers of India and he came into the lime light when he was inspired to make the T.V serial Ramayan and the refugee had gained the status of being known as an avtaar of God . He is gone , but his sons and grandsons and his family keep making efforts to keep his legacy alive . Rajendra Kumar Tuli was another refugee who crossed the border with his family and faced some of the most in human experiences. I have heard him describe his experiences, especially about how he and the other refugees kept looking at the sky from where airplanes dropped food packets from the air for the refugees and how the refugees scrambled for those packets and even tried to kill each other just to get their hands on those food packets which gave them life to continue their walk to freedom. This same Rajendra Kumar went on to become the first Jubilee Star of India and also one of the richest business men in the country. There have been several poets who have opted for India and their decision to live in India for better or for worse has been very fruitful for them . And the one poet who first went from Ludhiana to Lahore and came to Bombay and built his own empire on the foundation of his rich poetry was Sahir Ludhiandi. And how I can forget that Pran Sikand had started his career as an actor usspaar and then came isspaar and became one of the greatest villains and then turned a good man in flim and remained a good Indian till the very end . And Dilip Kumar was born in Peshawar and so were Prithviraj Kapoor and his son Raj Kapoor who also came isspaar and ruled over isspaar and all over the world . What I am writing about needs a massive book to write about, but I have given the basic outline of a book that should be written about the refugees who made it big in India . I hope some one more efficient than me takes up this subject as a challenge and fulfills it. HUM JAISE HAI BAHUT ACCHE HAI . LEKIN AGAR HUMSAB EK SAATH HOTE TOH HUM AUR KITNA ZYAADA ACCHE HOTE .
