THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN AS HUGH HEFNER PASSES AWAY AT 91!

An era has come to an end with the demise of Hugh Hefner, founder of the Playboy empire. Hugh Hefner, the founder of the iconic Playboy magazine, died at his home, the Playboy Mansion, of natural causes at age 91.

Founded 60 years ago, the Playboy magazine played an important role in bringing about a shift in American culture and gave rise to the sexual revolution of the 60s. In the 1960's and 70's when everybody was afraid to express their sexual desire, Playboy magazine became the voice of the masses by breaking all taboos and bringing about a stirring change in the society.

Cooper Hefner, Playboy Enterprises' chief creative officer and Hugh's son, spoke to CNBC and said, "My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights, and sexual freedom. He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognizable and enduring in history."

Hefner is survived by his wife Crystal, his sons Cooper, David and Marston, and his daughter Christie.
