‘Would Love To Play A Psycho-Killer’: Shares Akshay Kumar Who Also Reveals About His ‘Tear-Jerking Scene’ In ‘Good Newwz’

Despite the roller-coaster comedy situations, the versatile super-bankable Akshay Kumar has most of the theatre audiences becoming emotionally charged  and even wiping tears from their eyes and turning speechless in a highlight scene from his latest release ‘Good Newwz’ directed by Raj Mehta. It’s an intense scene where Akshay reacts with an emotional outburst when he sees his new-born baby fighting to survive in an incubator and later when he cradles the little one in his rugged arms. “No, there was no special prep for these intense scenes it was just a natural flow. For me acting is a switch-on and switch-off process as briefed by my director . Frankly,  what was going on in my mind is I recalled the day when my wife Tina ( Twinkle) gave birth to my son ( Aarav) I didn’t get instantly attached to the bundle of joy. A father generally takes a little more time than the mother, to get attached to his new-born son or daughter. It took me a few weeks to reconcile that I had actually become a ‘father’.  But when I cradled the child in my arms the attachment and bonding started. That is what I was thinking and I feel it is a special scene in ‘Good Newwz’, “ shares  Akshay who honestly feels that his character is ‘self-centred’ and has initial negative tinges as well  . Does the charismatic Kumar have any to-do lead roles in his bucket wish-list. “ Maybe enact a role of a psycho-killer and also make a movie on depression”.  The most-bankable ( read hit-machine) Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar with three successive mega-hits to his credit during 2019, will soon have his fourth mega-hit in the form of the wacko comedy ‘Good Newwz’ ( also starring Kareena Kapoor , Kiara Advani and  Diljit ) which released yesterday. Audiences are going ga-ga over the situational frivolous comedy and the hilarious punch-lines of both Akshay and Diljit Dosanjh  even as they are sparring their histrionics  with each other.
