The Goa State Film Festival is in its 9th edition this year and The Entertainment Society of Goa is hosting the festival starting from 3rd May to 6th May in Panjim. Kaabil actress Yami Gautam has been invited as the Chief Guest at the event. A list of activities ranging from feature film screenings to musical shows are lined up in which a number of performances by people in the field of performing arts and music and 14 movies will be shown as a part of the festival.
Yami will be flying there on May 6 to be a part of the closing ceremony. Talking about her invitation, the actress said, "It’s an honour to be invited by the State government for their biggest celebration of cinema. I look forward to meeting the delegates and exchanging notes on cinema and to commemorate some great body of work done by various filmmakers.”
Talking about her work front, Yami will be seen in the upcoming two movies, Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Uri. The actress will play the character of a Lawyer in Batti Gul Meter Chalu whereas on the other hand, Yami will portray the character of an intelligence officer in Uri.
