Wonders never fail to cease. It was with nostalgia that this correspondent witnessed the coming together of three veterans from the 1988 TV serial- Puneet Issar, Surinder Pal and Gufi Paintal together under one roof in the play Mahabharat written and directed by Puneet Issar and produced by actor Rahui Bhuchar, who plays thye role of Karan in the play. In an aside, Yashodhan Rana told me that he was privileged to have been picked by Puneet Issar to play the role of Lord Krishna in his play Mahabharat. The actor who bears a striking resemblance to Nitish Bharadwaj who was seen as Lord Krishna in the TV serial Mahabharat says that it was after watching his role as Mahadev in the serial Om Namashivaya produced by Dheeraj Kumar that he was cast in his play by Puneet Issar. Yashodhan also confesed to me that like Nitish Bharadwaj who had also acted in films besides the TV serial, he was also all set to make his debut with a film called Tony in which he was playing the title role. “I am happy that my role as Lord Kfrishna in the play Mahabharat is enabling me to shjowcase myself as an actor and a lot of filmmakers in Bollywiood have told me that they were impressed with the way I conducted myself as an actor on stage in the play”, Yashodhan Rana signed off as star struck teenage girls swooned over him and thronged towards him for selfies with him backstage. Guess who is with me after the play Mahabharat ended in the photograph clicked backstage by short film maker Priyanka Raina? ? Not Nitish Bharadwaj but newcomer Yashodhan Rana
