Yashraj Films used to hold their pressshows at one time at Blaze a preview theatre in Colaba. Then there was a time when they used to show their press shows at Rajkamal at Lower Parel or for that matter Excelsior or Liberty.

However , it is a thing of the past. Ever since the patriarch of the family, yaane ki my dear senior friend Yash Chopra left us a few years ago, the new policy of Aditya Chipra who is at the helm of affairs as far asYashraj Films ic concerned now, will hold the press show of any Yashraj film only on the day of release of the film that is Friday and that too at their own preview theatre in the first floor of the Yashraj Studios and office Complex.
According to inside sources, Aditya Chopra has this believe that if h holds the press show of his film at his preview theatre on the day of release, the film has chances of succeeding at the box office.

If you ask me, I endorse the idea of Aditya because not only is there a homely atmosphere at YRF Studios where the pres show is held, but also the sumptuous buffet lunch that his office provides is always of first rate quality.
Once when the pres show of the film Byomkesh Bakshi was held on Thursday, the film bombed and ever since that day YRF does not screen their films a day before their release.

This decision of Adi is fine because one is spared the ordeal of consuming junk food like samosas, popcorn and aerated water like Pepsi when one is watching a film at YRF Studios and what's more, he or she is sure of going home after having a hearty lunch after the press show ends, though I have a complaint about Aditya Chopra.
Though his father the affable Yashji minged with the media folks when he was alive and discussed the pros and cons of every film of his whether it was Daag or Silsila or Vijay or Mohabbayein, Adi is like Mr India because he does not at all bother to be around when the media folks descend down on his studio floors ot screenings
