YOUTUBE STAR SAHIL KHATTAR MAKES TV DEBUT

YouTube star Sahil Khattar, best known for his rib-tickling videos on the 'Being Indian' YouTube channel has now joined the league of successful faces from the web to appear on television. The talented comedian has been roped in to host MTV’s new musical show, Gaano Ka Rafoo Center. The show features Sahil dissecting the lyrics of popular Bollywood songs for which he has slipped into the fictional avatar of 'Salim Sui-Mia', a tailor. The show went on-air on MTV Beats on 29 July.

Sahil recently opened up on his thoughts on doing the show and in an interview given to DNA, said, “I always like to make sparklers in the form of two-minute videos, so when I was approached for this show, I liked the concept wherein I will be dissecting the lyrics. For instance, there’s this line in the Radha song (Jab Harry Met Sejal) which goes, Tujhe sakhiyon se aakhiyon mein rakhna hai mujhko jayda jayda. I will be asking teri aankhen hai ya godown! Then there’s a line in Main Tera Boyfriend (Raabta) which says, Raklunga Tujhko Mein Hug Karke. How can he impress his girlfriend by cracking bathroom jokes! If you’re under so much pressure, aaye kyun milne ke liye. It’s questioning the integrity of the lyrics. We will call a spade a spade in all aspects.”
