Who says that if you follow the guidelines to fight Corona Virus you can be saved from its clutches ? If there is one person who has been following the protocol , it is Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar ..... Ali Peter John

She has been staying home in her room at Prabhu Kunj for more than five years . She has been maintaining social distance because she has not been going out for more than ten years and has been avoiding all events , including the one organised by her only brother Pandit Hridayanath Mangeshkar .

There are doctors to take care of any health issues ready to be of service to her . And there are her sisters , Meena , Usha and Hridayanath , their families and especially her niece Rachna who take care of her like a baby .

But on January 5 , the nightingale had to be rushed to the Breach Candy Hospital where she was admitted to the ICU with symptoms of Covid19.

No visitors are allowed to even see the ninety two year old singer and she is under the care of some of the best doctors.

The good news however is that she is responding to treatment and the doctors see signs of improvement in her health at the time of writing this report
