Zareen Khan who was last seen in Vikram Bhatt’s horror film 1921 earlier this year, has now signed a Punjabi film. Titled Pathankot, it will recreate the terrorist attacks in the state in 2016. Zareen confirms the news that she is doing the Jaivi Danda directorial. “Shooting for the film should start towards the end of December with a 40-day schedule. I play a simple girl with the spirit of a fighter. She’s the film’s protagonist and a really strong character even though she starts out as a vulnerable person,” she informs, adding that since she isn't very fluent in the language, her prep will focus more on language but she is looking forward to experience the famous Punjabi warmth again. “For my first Punjabi film, I had shot in several small villages there and found the locals to be large-hearted people.” Zareen recently hosted the MTV show, Troll Police. Her first Punjabi film debut was with Jatt James Bond opposite Gippy Grewal which was directed by Rohit Jugraj and also featured Yashpal Sharma and Gurpreet Ghuggi. Zareen had also won best debut award for her Punjabi film Jatt James Bond
