Zee Cinema To Premiere Akshay Kumar Starrer ‘Kesari’ On 15th Aug

Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Kesari’ is all set for its world television premiere on Zee Cinema this 15th August at 12 noon. ‘Kesari’ is an action-war film written and directed by Anurag Singh. It was jointly produced by Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Sunir Khetarpal under the banners of Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, Azure Entertainment and Zee Studios.

The film stars Akshay Kumar with Parineeti Chopra, Mir Sarwar, Vansh Bhardwaj, Jaspreet Singh, Vivek Saini and Vikram Kochhar in supporting roles. It follows the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi, a battle between 21 soldiers of the 36th Sikhs of the British Indian Army and 6,000–10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in 1897. Paying an ode to every martyr, Zee Cinema urges citizens of India to come together and help the kin of martyrs through the #MainBhiKesari campaign.

According to Television Post, fans can extend their support by donating any amount on the Bharat Ke Veer or Freecharge App and website and share a screenshot tagging Zee Cinema and using the hashtag #MainBhiKesari. For every donation made, the channel will contribute ₹500 towards Bharat Ke Veer. Launched in April 2017 by Akshay Kumar and the Ministry of Home Affairs, the ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ initiative started with the purpose of enabling willing donors to help and contribute towards the families of soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
