The tournament will be played amongst six regional teams led by actor Swapnil Joshi, actress Sai Tamhankar, Sairat fame Director Nagraj Manjule, Purushottam Jadhav, Rajesh Dake, Shantaram Manav & Paritosh Painter! The six teams consist of 3 celebrities and 3 dignitaries from different fields, and tournament matches will be held at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune from November 2nd to 18th. This cluster of six teams representing Zee Maharashtra Wrestling League, came together to choose the lineup of their players and bolster their team's strength by bidding aggressively for the strongest players. The first edition of this tournament held earlier had garnered attention, but this edition seems to pack in a punch! Swwapnil Joshi (Vidharbhachi Wagh), Sai Tamhankar (Kolhapuri Maavle), Nagraj Manjule (Veer Marathwada), Purshottam Jadhav (Yashwant Satara), Rajesh Dake (Mumbai Astraa) and Shantaram Manve & Paritosh Painter (Puneri Ustaad) own six teams in the wrestling Mahasangram. The organizers unanimously chimed in that Zee Talkies has launched a big platform for upcoming wrestlers to show off their prowess. Yashwant Satara's owner Purshottam Jadhav says, "Basically, Satara district has a wrestling tradition. Khashaba Jadhav, who won the first individual Olympic Medal for India after Independence, is from Satara. That is why I insisted that wrestling women should be representative of this district. I am sure my team will be a winning team." Vidarbhachi Wagh's team owner and actor Swwapnil Joshi says, "This is going to be a different experience for all of us. The matches played will be some of the most competitive ones. Of course, no one will win or be a hero; the winner will be wrestling of course!"Sai Tamhankar, the owner-actress of the Kolhapuri Maavle Sangh, says, "I have seen many wrestlers and their lifestyle up close and personal, as I am from Sangli. This effort will be very important to get this game up!"Veer Marathwada owner Nagraj Manjule says, "I am very happy to be associated with this project. This platform will certainly be a positive step forward for furthering this game." Zee Talkies and Zee Youth's Business Head Bavesh Janavlekar says, "With Zee Maharashtra Kusti Dangal, we have all had a dream and a vision for this sport, which we have seen come true today. From November 2nd to 18th, wrestling will truly be experienced by Maharashtra, and its foundation has been set here today. The games that are popular here in India are usually those that have originated outside India. Wrestling is a true blue Indian sport, and it has reached an international level today. But this game still hasn’t received its expected money and fame. But now, Zee Group and Zee Talkies have given this sport its much-deserved honor, money and fame. 'Zee Maharashtra Kusti Dangal' is an opportunity for many wrestlers to reconnect with their soil. I hope that we will create history." For more Bollywood updates, follow Bollyy!
