Zee TV actors talk about the importance of women in their lives on International Women’s Day
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Zee TV actors like Manit Joura from Kundali Bhagya, Shweta Tiwari from Main Hoon Aparajita, Ashi Singh from Meet, Tanisha Mehta from Lag Ja Gale, Aditi Sharma from Rabb Se Hai Dua, Aishwarya Khare from Bhagya Lakshmi and Neeharika Roy from Pyaar ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan talk about the importance of women in their lives
Manit Joura, who essays the role of Rishab in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya mentioned, “I believe in the thought that the significance and value of women cannot be just limited to one day of the year. Women are the backbone of society, without them, none of us would have existed. Women have proven themselves time and again to be the toughest warriors, but as a society, we need to learn to always empower them. I think a world without women would be a world with no meaning. I personally think we are nobody to empower women. They are already much stronger than men in every aspect of life. I feel it is just we all need to respect them. We need to set them free and believe in them. This International Women’s Day here’s to every woman, I would like to thank my mother and sister who are the pillars of my life and who I dearly respect and look up to. Shweta Tiwari, who essays the role of Aparajita in Zee TV’s Main Hoon Aparajita mentioned, “I appreciate that there is a Women’s Day and everyone acknowledges the value of women in their lives but, they should be cherished every day. When it comes to my characters on television, I have always believed in essaying the role of a woman who has a strong mindset, and one who never fears to voice her opinion. Tanisha Mehta, who essays the role of Ishani in Zee TV’s Lag Ja Gale mentioned, “ On Women’s day one should definitely do things to make other women feel special, and even on other days they should be appreciated. I really look up to my grandmother, mother and my sister because both of them are strong independent women who are very inspiring. I wish more women would get the opportunity to become independent. This Women’s Day, I would request everyone to please always support the women around you.”
Ashi Singh, who essays the role of Meet in Zee TV’s Meet mentioned, “It feels amazing to celebrate Women’s Day especially when everyone wishes us, the feeling of being loved, and acknowledged for our contribution to society. I also feel that we should celebrate women every day because women fight different battles. This year, I have decided to give flowers to my mother as a way of appreciating how much she does for all of us. I also make sure to let every woman in my life know just how important they are to me, in a way or another. I would like to tell my female fans and viewers that women are strong so stand fearlessly and be heard.”
Aditi Sharma who essays the role of Dua in Zee TV’s Rabb Se Hai Dua mentioned, “I don’t think women need a specific day to be celebrated, we should cherish them every day. I also feel that men and women should be treated equally, that’s the whole point of feminism. While we multitask and fight all our battles, we are always ready to deal with society’s prejudice and its assumptions about us every day. It is important to celebrate the grace, beauty, and strength that reflects in every woman. I believe that there is nothing that a woman can’t do in today’s world. Aishwarya Khare who essays the role of Lakshmi in Zee TV’s Bhagya Lakshmi mentioned, “Women’s Day really makes me happy because on this day we celebrate the progress made towards achieving gender equality. As we all know how women are treated differently by most people, and in some areas of the world women are still living their life according to others’ rules. Every Women’s Day I try to get a tiny little gift like a flower or some chocolates for every woman I love, and this year I will follow the same tradition. Neeharika Roy, who essays the role of Radha in Zee TV’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan mentioned, “Women’s Day to me is honestly a celebration of the strength, grace and beauty a woman reflects in every endeavour of hers. It is a day of applauding the tremendous effort they put towards growing a step beyond what’s expected from them and choosing to challenge the world that constantly questions their move.
