Aboard a train called the #ZeeTVEntertainmentExpress that packs in one surprise after another for Zee TV’s viewers in the month of October, audiences recently got a glimpse of the four exciting new shows coming up on the channel. In a bid to spread cheer with its first fiction offering post lockdown, Zee TV is all set to introduce a refreshing comedy of errors that will get families together and make them laugh with its engaging, light-hearted narrative. Premiering on 5th October and airing every Monday to Friday at 10:30 PM, Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare is a hilarious situational comedy that captures the humorous escapades of a housewife Dulari, who turns to a book of traditional ‘nuskhe’ to keep her ideal husband safe from the advances of other women in the mohalla who can’t seem to get enough of him.
Meet our show’s hero - the charming and handsome Ram who runs a beauty parlour in Bhopal. While he provides the best beauty services in town, women mostly visit the parlour just to gawk at him. While Ram is practically the ‘Maryada Purushottam’ who doesn't give in to the flirtations coming his way, wife Dulari is unsure of the other womens’ intentions. So, she ends up turning to this book of nuskhe to keep her husband to herself. Inadvertently, however, it leads to a comedy of errors.
Over the last few weeks, Dulari reached out to her ‘behens’ from all across the country through her social media handle ‘RamKiDulari’, asking them to share interesting ‘nuskhe’ to safeguard her husband. With the teaser itself creating a flutter, Zee TV’s social media handle decided to take it to the next level by announcing a contest asking women to contribute their pearls of womanly wisdom, tagging #SunBehen. Thousands of married women and women online communities came forth to offer their experienced nuskhe to Dulari including mega celebrities like ace comedienne Bharti Singh, Maharashtra chi shaan Amruta Khanvilkar and famous in the UP heartland, Amrapali Dubey. With Zee TV’s social media handles inundated with quirky, juicy nuskhas from all over, the channel compiled them all into a quirky book of nuskhe and launched it virtually on the occasion of the show’s premier on the channel.
During the book launch, director and producer Sachin Mohite thanked the ‘behens’ for having shown up in large numbers to support Dulari. Actors Jyoti Sharma, Nikhil Khurana and Shamin Mannan also spoke of how their show reflects the positive change in relationship dynamics that is taking place currently in society, how there is a unique role reversal of sorts with a housewife shielding her husband from the advances of other women rather than the conventional norm of men protecting their women from covetous eyes. Without taking itself too seriously, this rip-roaring comedy represents a slice-of-life narrative about the emerging great Indian middle class - Aaj Ke Kirdaar, Aaj ke Kisse.
Talking about the show and the book launch, Jyoti Sharma who plays the role of Dulari in Zee TV's Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare revealed, “It is always a pleasure and a blessing to be a part of such a fun-filled show like Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare. To be honest, essaying the role of Dulari seems like quite a challenge since I am very different from the character. To bring to life the character's fears and to act on the hilarious nuskhes in the hope of a solution and landing up in an even bigger mess in the whole process will prove to be entertaining for viewers to see. I’m really happy that we've launched this quirky book of nuskhe and I am very thankful to all my behens for such a heart-warming response.”
Nikhil Khurana who plays the role of Ram in Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare also shared, “The show has an extremely unique concept of a loyal husband and his watchful wife who isn’t about to let any other woman get close to him. The fresh narrative clubbed with humour will surely keep the audience hooked and I am looking forward to essaying the role of Ram as it comes with its own quirks, especially since he’s deemed to be quite a crush for the ladies in his locality. I’m really thrilled to be working on a Zee TV show and I hope the viewers love our slice-of-life drama as well as our book of nuskhe that we've created. In these testing times, the rib-tickling ideas from the book will surely amuse people.”
Furthermore, Shamin Mannan who plays the role of Koel in Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare mentioned, “Portraying a strong yet spicy character with a comical edge is always difficult and I feel it is my biggest test as an actor. Koel is a hot and happening woman in the moholla who is all set to distract Ram with her good looks and seductive style. It is her ulterior motive to win him over for herself. There is a lot of scope to play around with the character and experiment when it has so many shades. So, I’m really looking forward to the show and my collaboration with Zee TV. Koel is a go-getter and I do resonate with her thoughts and I really hope everyone loves my character.”
The Producer and Director of Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare, Sachin Mohite of Jaasvand Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. also added, “The relatability factor of the narrative works as the USP of the show as well as the comic elements. We chose to release the show during this critical time for one reason and that is to bring back that smile on our viewers’ faces. Dulari's pangs of insecurity and her comical attempts to keep her man will surely entertain one and all. In fact, with a view to spread joy, we've also launched Dulari's book of nuskhe which will surely amuse the readers and hopefully help some women too.”
