ZORDAAR HUNNAR RANVEER SINGH KAA JUDUAA BHAI HAI

If there is an award for one actor to achieve so much in the shortest possible time , if there is an award for an actor for playing a wide variety of roles in some of the best films made during the last 10 years , if there is an actor who is an institution in himself and slowly growing into a legend , the most unusual award at anytime in history of awards , that award will just have to go to Ranveer Singh, a man who has done everything possible to live up to his name and be a 'Singh'(lion) who has fought countless battles in the 'Ran of talent with the kind of courage only a 'Veer" (brave) young man - Ali Peter John

One doesn't have to go down in time to know more about the fascinating actor who has made his story known to the world of entertainment all on his own and certainly not by going to any kind of acting academies , schools or institutions.

Today , as he is getting ready to enter into one more year in his life , I who almost belong to another generation, but still admire him only because of his amazing skills to play any kind of role with effortless ease , l want to remember whatever l find interesting and inspiring in him.

It inspires me when l listen to the story about how he was asked by his grandmother to dance at a wedding party and he had won the hearts of the crowd when he danced to the song "jhooma chooma de de " from the film "hum" which was a craze in the 90's and still is , all because of the magic of Amitabh Bachchan and his magical dancing steps which no other star has been able to match with ..

There is another story about Ranveer which happened much after he was accepted as a star - actor .

He was signed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his ambitious film "Bajiraao Mastaani" with Deepika Padukone as his leading lady . Being a hard and disciplined worker , he accepted the difficult role of playing Baajiraao and once he had decided to play Bajiraao , he shaved off his hair and locked himself up in a room for 21 days and came out only when he was confident that he was Bajiraao himself. And the result of his dedication to his role is what everyone knows now .

There are many other incidents to show how Ranveer Singh has made him the Ranveer Singh he is today , but the basic reason for his success is his knowing the truth about himself and knowing the conditions and circumstances and the people he has to work with .

It is this fascinating knowledge about himself and the world around him that has made him one of the leading actors of the decade and who is admired and loved by people of several generations, from little boys and girls to teenagers who cannot keep their hearts from pounding fiercely past with just one glimpse of him.

I was talking to the one time leading director Mehul Kumar who had made films like "Kraantiveer" and "Tirangaa" besides 37 other films, and he said , "maine bahat saare kalaakaro ko dekhaa hai .

Maine Amitabh, Raaj kumar , Nana Patekar aur Jeetendra ke saath kaam kiyaa hai aur isiliye keh saktaa hun ki Ranveer Singh apne zamaane kaa sabse behtarin actor hai .

Meri duaan hai ki wo aise hi aage badte rahe , agar wo thodaa bhi badal jaayega toh usske liye achha nahi hogaa.

Ussko aachhi filme aur kum filme karni chahiye" . This is the general opinion people have about Ranveer Singh.

And it would do Ranveer a world of good if he kept track of the views , opinions and the moods of the people who have mattered to the greatest actors and legends of anytime .

I hope Ranveer doesn't want to compete with stars like Govinda , Anupam Kher and Akshay Kumar who take great pride in saying that they have done 500 films in their ambitious careers , which is slowly but surely leading to the downward slide in their careers.

Ranveer is the kind of actor who can last long 36 (which he will be on July 6 till he atleast reaches the age of his idol Amitabh Bachchan who will be 79 in October and still has more films on hand than any of the younger stars of today.

It will also do good for Ranveer to know that the greatest legend Dilip Kumar has hardly done a hundred films during the 70 years of his acting career.

I can only make suggestions on the basis of my 50 years experience of watching empires and actors rise and fall.

The final decision however has to be taken by Ranveer, because after all , it is his career and his life .

It gives me a great feeling to know how Ranveer has done a number of roles which very few actors can even imagine doing.

If he has done "Band Bajaa Baraat" he has also done "Goliyo kaa Rasleela Ramleela" if he has done "Lootera", "Gunday " and "Simbaa" , he has also done "Bajiraao Mastaani" "Padmavat" and "Gully Boyz", if has done ""Dil ko Dharakhne Do" , he has also done "Kill Dil " , and if he has done a few flops , he has also done a number of hits which have made him one of the highest paid actors who is also one of the most loved actors.

Covid has played dirty games with Ranveer like it has with his beautiful wife Deepika and so many other stars .

But Ranveer still has all the hope to stage a fight back with with films like "83" in which he plays Kapil Dev , the captain who led India to winning the World Cup in 1983 .

Deepika who has worked with Ranveer in films like Baajirao Mastaani, Padmavat and Goliyo kaa Rashleela, ia also playing a cameo in 83 .

Ranveer wilk also be doing the sequel to Simbaa and is in talks with Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions to do some of their feature films.

And on his birthady , l together with millions of his admirers wish him the whole world in which he can fight all his wars and emerge as a true Ranveer (the brave man of the battlefield ).
