Karan Kundra is seen in the role of Guggu in 'Tera Kya Hoga Lovely'.

Karan Kundra, who started his career with Ekta Kapoor's serial 'Kitni Mohabbat Hai', has worked in many TV serials like 'Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum' and 'Dil Hi To Hai' and has also hosted many TV shows. Let us tell you that Karan has also worked in films like 'Mubarakan' and '1921'. Karan, who was the second runner-up of the reality show Bigg Boss Season 15, is seen in Randeep Hooda and Ileana D'Cruz's film 'Tera Kya Hoga Lovely'. Along with this, Karan will be seen with Erica Fernandez in Amazon Mini TV's upcoming show 'Love Adhura'.

You have worked on every platform, from TV to films. What would you like to say about this?

I think it is the love of the fans who have liked me on the platform and made me successful.

Your film ‘Tera Kya Hoga Lovely’ is coming. The issues being discussed in the film are discussed a lot in the society. What would you like to say about this?

This thing is talked about in society because it is very common. Because of color, people have to pay more dowry, or one has to lighten one's complexion in one's photographs, or all these things are very common in society. It is a different matter that people do not talk about it openly. We have shown such things through comedy in this film so that we do not offend you and can also entertain you. I think when I think about this film in the future, I will feel that I was a part of a very good film. Another such film that I did with Alankrita was 'Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare', which was also a very good film and I am proud to be a part of that film. That was also a women-centric film. This film is also similar where a girl is fighting against the taboo of the society.

Tell us about how the film talks about things like apartheid and dowry.

We have shown this thing in the film in a very satirical, entertaining, and simple manner. In the trailer, Pawan Malhotra sir's character tells Ileana's character, "Your luck has paled in comparison to your color", while Lovely is a Ph.D. student. The film will make you emotional as well as laugh. This film has been written about the situation of how small things create big problems in small towns. The story of the film is very funny and people will be able to relate to it. The film has all those flavors with which people will be able to relate and along with all these things there is also a social message.

You will also be seen doing comedy in this film, tell us about your character in the film.

I had already met Bali Paaji when he wrote this film. He saw me during the film Mubarakan because he was the writer and co-director of this film. He knew what kind of person I was and hence when he was writing this film, he had me in mind for the character of Guggu. The character of Guggu, whom I am playing in this film, is a big-hearted person and will do anything for his friends. He is a very simple boy, who will even sell his house if you ask him lovingly. She is like me, as I am in real life. We gave his character a flavor of Haryana-Punjab. Guggu's character is very funny and loving. The set of the film was such that people had forgotten that I was Karan and were considering me as Guggu. We had a lot of fun during the shooting of the film.

How was the experience of working with amazing Bollywood stars like Randeep Hooda and Ileana D'Cruz?

I had never seen Randeep doing comedy, he was a surprise for me. I think there should be a record of retakes for this film because we laughed so much during the scenes that there is no limit. It was not that we were given a written script and we had to perform it, rather before the scene we used to sit together and discuss how we could make the scene better, and because of this, our flow was so good that we used to laugh between scenes. After this film, I have become a big follower of his, I am following his work. Ileana is a very brilliant actor. I like Ileana from 'Barfi' very much. Ileana has worked very hard for the character of Lovely in this film because it is a bit difficult to catch the Haryanvi accent. Ileana is what they call sheer brilliance.

Your show 'Love Adhura' is also coming, in which people have liked the chemistry between you and Erica very much. What would you like to say about this?

Erica and I have the same schooling because we are from TV, and we have worked with Alt Balaji. We have done different types of shows, and we have known each other for some time. We have also known Tanveer for many years. This is a project in which all of us together have created a project for ourselves, and it is different from other projects for us. The show has suspense, thriller, and also a very good love story.

Your fans have liked you a lot in the film.

We make films for the audience, and when they like it, we also feel good. We are also feeling good seeing their reaction.

What was the reaction of Teju (Tejasswi Prakash) after watching the film?

She liked the film very much. After we had finished shooting for 'Tera Kya Hoga Lovely', Teju came into my life. She liked the look of my character in the film very much, and she liked the character of Guggu very much. She also saw the trailer of 'Love Adhura', and she liked it too.

When you went to Bigg Boss, Salman Khan said that he has seen many couples forming and breaking in the show but yours is the only couple that is still intact. What would you like to say about this?

I have noticed one thing about Salman Bhai, he is a bit strict, just like our father or elder brother. Just as our father or elder brother will never praise us, they always say the opposite, similarly when Salman Bhai used to say in Bigg Boss, “This won't last even a month”, he wanted our bonding to be good. That's why I like Salman Bhai very much. He is very happy when I go to his show to promote my show or to promote my film.

What would you like to say to your fans, do you have many projects coming up simultaneously?

I think there is a bit of confusion as to what to watch, 'Tera Kya Hoga Lovely' and 'Love Adhura' are coming together. These two have two different worlds and two very different characters. Hope people will like it.
