Caution for Producers: Censor Board to Mute 'Jai Shri Ram' Slogan

One of the most disturbing things about the famous producer-director KC Bokadia's (Kistur Chand Bokadia) film 'Teesri Begum' is the 'Censor Board's order' to mute or cut out one sentence. This sentence is 'Jai Shri Ram'. People are angry that we are stopped from taking the name of Ram in our own country. A lot of inappropriate comments are coming on social media about the Censor Board and Censor Chief Prasoon Joshi.

KC Bokadia's 'Teesri Begum' Faces Censorship Hurdles

Senior producer-director and writer KC Bokadia has made films like ('Pyaar Jhukta Nahi', 'Teri Meherbaniyaan', 'Naseeb Apna Apna', 'Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam', 'Phool Bane Angare', 'Aaj Ka Arjun', etc.) Have made. His new film 'Teesri Begum' is ready for release but due to the strict attitude of the censor, the film is getting delayed. The matter came to the fore when Bokadia ji received a letter from the Censor Board on March 6 regarding the film. In which the instructions were to make certain changes in the film. It is also worth mentioning that KC Bokadia applied to get a censor certificate for the release of his film at the end of 2023. The Censor Board has given 14 days to remove objectionable things from the film.

Teesri Begum: Censorship Controversy

According to the information, the censor has asked to give an 'A' certificate to 'Teesri Begum' keeping it in the adult category. Also, instructions have been given that 14 scenes will have to be cut or removed from the film. There is a scene in which 'Jai Shri Ram' is said. Producer-director KC Bokadia frowned upon being instructed to cut it. He says "I will die but Ram's name will not be removed from the film. Ram is our idol." Bokadia's point is also valid. According to him, what is the crime if a dependent character of the film, is troubled by his patron, and appeals by saying 'Jai Shri Ram'? What objection does the censor have to this?

KC Bokadia: Anger Over Censorship of 'Jai Shri Ram'

This is the same KC Bokadia who has made 60 films in the last 40 years. Information and Broadcasting Minister Shri Anurag Thakur has said that a weekly series created by him, "Sardar the Game Changer", will be telecasted twice a week. Bokadia, who follows the decorum of the censor, is angry at the idea of using scissors on the words 'Jai Shri Ram'. At this time when the country is feeling happy with Ram. After the Ram Temple foundation ceremony held in Ayodhya on January 22, there has been a wave of devotion to God in the country, what has happened to the Censor Board who are allergic to the word Jai Shri Ram?

In his video, a social media-conscious YouTuber strongly condemned Censor Chief Prasoon Joshi, calling him a chamcha of a particular class. It is said that this man who had written a song for BJP in the last elections considers himself the biggest spoon of the Prime Minister and has become egoistic. Now he has started living with so much ego that he has started daring to cut off even Ram from the cinema screen. He has started considering himself greater than Ram...etc etc.

However, the censor objection raised on 'Teesri Bagam' - scissoring on "Jai Shri Ram" has shocked all the filmmakers. Keeping a particular group in mind, whether Lord Ram's slogan should be cut or that word should be silenced, this is not just a matter of Bokadiya ji, it is a matter of entire Ram devotees.
