Birthday Special: Aamir Khan has been a perfectionist since childhood

I had a friend named Dharamveer, who worked as a production controller for Nasir Hussain, who used to tell me interesting stories about Nasir Hussain how he made films how he wrote dialogues, and when he directed his actors. He used to give his best.

Hussain was making a big film called 'Yaadon Ki Baaraat' in which he cast a new girl Kajal Kiran along with Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, Vijay Arora, and his nephew Tariq Khan.

But, Dharamveer revealed that there was also a role played by a young boy named Aamir Khan, the son of Nasir Hussain's brother Tahir Hussain. The title song of the film was picturized on the childhood of three brothers. The song was, “Yaadon Ki Baaraat Nikli Hai Aaj Dil Ke Dware” . The little boy had to imagine that he was playing a toy guitar. Everything was fine until it was his turn to play the toy guitar and the boy surprised everyone when he asked his uncle ( Nasir Hussain ) to stop shooting until he got the guitar. He did not get into the habit of moving his fingers on the strings and did not continue shooting until he was satisfied. What would you say about this action of that little boy?

There was only a week to go before the release of his first film as a hero, ' Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar '. In those days in Mumbai, we had night cricket matches (tennis ball cricket, mostly played in the villages of Mumbai). The same Dharamveer treated Aamir as the chief guest in a match that was being played at the grounds of Sahar village, where the international airport is now located.

Aamir was surprised when he saw a huge crowd that he had been told had come to see him.

And if the organizer thought that Aamir would just cut a ribbon and say just a few words, then it was just a misunderstanding. Because he wanted to be a part of the match for at least one inning. The way he bowled and batted was something that the spectators could not accept. Aamir started leaving around midnight and as he was leaving, one of the organizers said, “This is going to take too long, its madness is already visible.”

Aamir had become a star and was shooting a film called 'Parampara' at Mehboob Studios. It was a big party scene and director Yash Chopra, who was directing outside his banner film and was paid Rs 50 lakh, featured Sunil Dutt, Vinod Khanna, Raveena Tandon, and Ramakrishna in the scene.

It was like history repeating itself. And once again Aamir had to play the piano in the scene. Aamir then kept playing the piano until his fingers moved on the piano like the man who played the piano during the recording of the song. Aamir agreed to 'Take' only when he was happy with his efforts. Immediately after this scene, Yash Chopra said, “Behen ke take!" I have worked with many actors but there is no one like this boy, he should have become a director” Did Yash Chopra make a prediction for Aamir then?

Aamir was shooting a song for Mahesh Bhatt's 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke' with Juhi Chawla and several children in Juhu. And when he came to know (in his way) that Mahesh Bhatt did not work wholeheartedly in the song shoot, he quietly requested Mahesh to go home and he took up the responsibility of the song shoot and not only completed it on time. Not only did he do it, but he also gave it his best and the result was that the song became a major highlight of the film.

Is this the reason why even some of the best directors think twice before taking up the challenge of directing Aamir? And is this the reason why even some big stars are afraid of sharing screen space with Aamir?
