Happy Birthday Tigmanshu Dhulia: Celebrating 57th Birthday

Indian film dialogue writer, director, actor, screenwriter, producer, and casting director is known for his works in Hindi cinema and Television, turns 57 years old today and is thriving to work more!

His first-ever acting gig was for actor, producer, screenwriter, and director Anurag Kashyap. A lesser-known fact about him is that he wrote dialogue for Dil se...for Mani Ratnam!

Critical Hits: 'Shagird,' 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster,' and 'Paan Singh Tomar

Shagird” and “Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster” (2011) are both films that were critically acclaimed by both audience and jury because of the realistic approach and scenes shown in the film. Along with “Paan Singh Tomar” (2012) was the biopic based on the Chambal Rebel with the same name, a 7-time national record holder in obstacle race. He heard about him while making “Bandit Queen” (1994) while assisting Shekhar Kapoor. He was highly praised for directing this film and was a box office hit of that time!

Tigmanshu Dhulia is supposedly joining hands with AjayDevgan as a producer for a film based on the life of Plawankar Baloo, the first Dalit Cricket player in India.

He recently about the strengthening of regional touch in movies, "This has always been there. Sholay, Lagaan, all were shot in Awadhi. You cannot escape it. If you want to give birth to a rooted film, set in the North, then you have to make use of the Awadhi language."
