During his college days, he was also active in student politics and went to jail during a movement. The seven days spent in jail proved to be a change in the direction of his life. I thought that people who are changing their surname are getting success and those whose name is Tiwari are either priests or farmers. I did not want to become a farmer or a priest. So I wrote my name as Tripathi in the form, but then I thought that I cannot write my father's name as Tiwari, because it may get rejected, so I changed his name too.

He used to do this to impress girls

Pankaj Tripathi used to do stunts on a bicycle to impress the girls of his village. He used to do such stunts even when he was in the 7th-8th class. Another boy used to do this, who was very popular among the girls. So Pankaj also used to do the same.
