Shweta Bachchan Nanda: Celebrating a Style Icon's Birthday

Today, March 17th, marks the birthday of Shweta Bachchan Nanda, a name synonymous with elegance, grace, and a burgeoning literary voice. While best known as the daughter of legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Shweta has carved her path, establishing herself as a successful columnist and a leading light in the Indian fashion scene.
Shweta's journey began outside the world of cinema. She opted for a quieter life, focusing on her education and family after marrying businessman Nikhil Nanda in 1997. Shweta Nanda has stepped into the literary world.

Shweta Nanda: The Novelist

Her debut novel, "Paradise Towers" (2018), garnered critical acclaim for its witty social commentary set against the backdrop of a Mumbai apartment complex. The novel's success cemented her position as a literary talent to watch. 

Her sharp wit extends beyond fiction, as she has captivated readers with her insightful and engaging columns for leading publications like Daily News and Analysis and Vogue India. The Tribune aptly praised her columns as "funny" and "insightful."

She has even lent her support to other authors, writing the forewords for Aishwarya R. Dhanush's book "Standing on an Apple Box: The Story of a Girl among the Stars" (2016) and Rukhsana Eisa's book "The Golden Code: Mastering the Art of Social Success" (2018).

Shweta Bachchan Nanda's influence extends beyond literature. Her impeccable fashion sense has earned her a place on several "Best Dressed" lists. In 2018, she took her fashion sense a step further by co-founding the fashion label MXS alongside designer Monisha Jaising.  

Beyond her public image, Shweta Bachchan Nanda is a pillar of support for her family – daughter of the legendary actors Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, wife to businessman Nikhil Nanda, and mother to their children, Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda.
