The film released in 1994, in the Hindi language is an action thriller, co-written, edited, and directed by Rajiv Rai and produced by his father Gulshan Rai. The film consists of an astonishing star cast such as; Naseeruddin Shah, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Raza Murad, Gulshan Grover, Paresh Rawal, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda.

This song was pictured on Raveena Tandon, who wasn’t the original choice for the film, however, the unfortunate death of Divya Bharti made her the Female Lead for this action thriller. She got the nickname of “the Mast Mast Girl” due to this song.

On the 40th Filmfare Awards, this film won in the category for Best Choreography- Chinni Prakash for ‘Tu Cheez Badi hai Mast Mast’. It received nine Filmfare Nominations for;

The film was reported to be inspired by the 1987 Hollywood film; Death Wish 4: The Crackdown, while the climax was inspired by the 1992 Hong Kong film, Hard Boiled, allegedly.
