The new year has begun. It can be expected that the business of films will increase. There is a lot of excitement about the films coming in the silver jubilee year of the century (2025). The discussion of many powerful films of last year has indicated a blast in the new year. Many Bollywood superstars like Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar etc., who were in a dormant state in the timeline of 2024, their films are preparing to make headlines in the coming days. Bollywood's controversy queen Kangana Ranaut's controversial film 'Emergency' (releasing on January 17) is the first discussed film of this year because Kangana is playing the role of Indira Gandhi in it. Indira and Emergency is a topic on which discussions are already going on. By the way, this series of discussions will continue. Whether it is Salman Khan's 'Sikander' or Akshay Kumar's 'Bhoot Bangla' or Rohit Shetty's 'Golmaal 5' or Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayan' or Shah Rukh Khan's 'King', the cinema market will remain a subject of curiosity.
However, last year in 2024, the business of films was less than in 2023. Last year, only the names of 'Stree 2' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' come to the tongue. While there was a bomb of success at the box office in '23, many stars were missing from the screen in '24. No new film of Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan could hit the screen. Akshay Kumar appeared in a guest role but not in the lead role. Ajay Devgan's Singham roar cooled down as the year ended.
In such a situation, everyone's eyes are on the year '25 and everyone is waiting for a comeback like the year '23, seven films were hits in that year. The film industry is moving forward with the confidence that the same comeback will happen again. The reason for this is the roar of films being made on the floor in Bollywood and Tollywood. Some of the films that are going to be in the news this year are - 'King', 'War 2', 'Son of Sardar 2', 'Sikander', 'Sitare Zameen Par', 'Jaat', 'Bhoot Bangla', 'Tu Meri Main Tera', 'Alpha', 'Chhava', 'Coolie', '69', 'Lahore 1947' etc. These films are of many genres, which have heart-touching love, frightening horror, hair-raising action, spy universe, extreme displays of dignity and patriotism,m and VFX scenes prepared with foreign technicians.
Last year, all three super Khans were missing from the film news, this year they will be in the headlines. Salman Khan's 'Sikander' will be released on Eid (28 March 2025). The teaser of this film by Ghajini fame director AR Murgadoss has created a record by getting 48 million views in 24 hours. Shahrukh Khan's film 'King' in which his daughter Suhana is also there is a special attraction. Aamir Khan has two films of two different genres, which will be a hit - 'Sitare Zameen Par' and 'Lahore 1947'. Similarly, Hrithik Roshan's new film 'Tu Meri Main Tera' is coming after the success of Yash Raj Production's spy film 'War 2' and Kartik Aryan's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'. 'Son of Sardar 2' is the sequel of Ajay Devgan's 2012 successful film 'Son of Sardar'. Sunny Deol's film 'Jaat' is directed by South's hit director Gopichand Malaneni. Akshay Kumar has high hopes from his horror film Priyadarshan's 'Bhoot Bangla' and Rohit Shetty's action-comedy film 'Golmaal 5'. The storm of Rajinikanth's film 'Coolie' and Vijay Thalapathy's '69' is also going to blow pan India.
