International Festival of Short Films on Cultural Tourism is a brand now and it basically focuses on promoting tourism of India. Now it’s in its 7th edition and taking place during the Great Kumbh Mela Time in the energetic city of Prayagraj on Dec.16, 17 & 18 – 2024 at North Central Zone Cultural Centre, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh; organized by India’s well-acclaimed company iiMC-Indian Infotainment Media Corporation, Mumbai and the show has been sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. And if we talk about the history of this festival, it has seen glorious 6 editions in the past and attended, graced and felicitated by India’s great personalities, political dignitaries and celebrity stars of the film world like Shashi Kapur, Jitendra, Basu Chatterjee, Hema Malini, Rama Vij, Sudhir Dalvi,  Maushami Chatterjee, Khushboo, Jaya Prada, Raju Kher, Kishore Namit Kumar, Akbar Khan, Raza Murad, Ayesha, Charles Correa, Sameer, N. Chandra, Sayaji Shinde, Esmayeel Shroff, Navni Parihar, Harish Bhimani, Gajendra Chauhan, Anup Soni, Smita Bansal, Anil Dhawan, Vijayta Pandit, Shagufta Ali, Rakesh Bedi and the political stalwart like Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. The list is endless, and every bit and barter are making this festival a tradition in India. And since it’s a tourism festival so it travels too and happens in all over Indian States and Union Territories. Last year it was successfully organized at the vibrant and holy city Varanasi and attended by Bollywood Celebrity i.e. Prakash Jha (Producer-Director-Actor), Debashree Roy (Actress), Sudhir Pandey (Actor), Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari (Director), Rumi Jaffrey (Director-Writer), Manish Tiwari (Producer-Director), Madhurima Tuli (Actress and Model), Varun Shetty (Producer), Saumya Tandon (Actress), Vinod Ganatra (Producer-Director) etc.


And obviously, IFFC-7 can proudly share that this time also there’s a great lineup of celebrities attending and gracing the film festivities with UP-ites. The line-up includes stars like Boney Kapoor, a celebrated Indian film producer, Suneel Darshan, a renowned Indian film director and producer, Kunal Kohli, a renowned Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter, Abhinay Deo, a renowned Indian film and television director, Indira Krishnan, a talented Indian actress, Gurmeet Choudhary, a popular Indian actor, Manoj Joshi, a versatile Indian actor, Rajesh Puri, a talented Indian actor, Priti Sapru, one of the biggest names in Punjabi cinema, Subhash Sehgal, a renowned film editor, Manjari Fadnis, an Indian actress, model and singer, and so on. You can ask what apart from this show off what else is there in the content as content is the king today i.e. the line-up of the films and other activities. First of all let’s talk about the film submission, IFFC-7 has received an overwhelming response from the world. It has got more than 4328 entries from 146 countries where the preselection jury selected around 97 films from 47 countries which will see the silver screen of IFFC-7. Anybody can come to the venue and watch these marvelous mini movies, yes entrance to the theatre is totally free, just do the formality of registering your presence and enjoy.


All these 97 movies will be adjudged by a cream jury from the film industry stalwarts and the winners will be awarded with the artistic antique striking trophy of IFFC-Lady Statue. Festival Chairman and an eminent personality of film Industry Mr. Devendra Khandelwal adds that apart from screenings, award celebrations we have a special contest for UP’s emerging talent for writing a movie script and win cash awards. The youth of UP will get one more opportunity to judge the films and become the jury and get awards and certificates in return. He adds that as usual there will be master classes too on all the 3 days with interesting, sustainable and job-oriented topics.
