The 82nd edition of the Golden Globe Awards, one of Hollywood’s most iconic nights, took place on January 5, 2025, at Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. The event was hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser. This year, several surprising moments and unexpected winners made the ceremony truly memorable.

At this year's Golden Globes, Indian director Payal Kapadia's film All We Imagine As Light had been nominated in two categories: Best Non-English Language Motion Picture and Best Director. However, the film didn’t take home an award in either category, which was a disappointment for India.

When it comes to the top awards, Emilia Pérez, a French musical directed by Jacques Audiard, was the big winner of the evening. The film bagged the top honors, including Best Motion Picture (Non-English Language), Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy), and Best Original Song.

The Brutalist – Brady Corbet

Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist also shone at the 82nd Golden Globes, winning top awards. This 3.5-hour-long drama from A24 garnered recognition for both its lead actor Adrian Brody and director Brady Corbet.
