Speaking at the trailer launch, R. Madhavan said, “For me, this film is entirely filled with love — it touches the heart deeply. My romantic journey began with ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’, and after so many years, playing a mature love story again has been a very special experience.

In today’s era, to be part of such a story, where the emotions linked with age are shown so delicately, is nothing short of a blessing.” Madhavan also shared that this film is especially close to his heart because it was shot in Jamshedpur — the city where he spent his childhood.

On Nazia Hassan, Madhavan said,

R. Madhavan spoke fondly and emotionally about Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan, whose 1980 song ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’ from the film ‘Qurbani’ inspired the film’s title. “We all loved Nazia Hassan. The way she sang and the kind of songs she chose made her immortal. When we found out about her passing, our hearts broke. Her voice was so unique — even if you heard it from a distance through a speaker, you knew it was her.

Her voice was beautiful, calming, and reminded us of a time when everything felt right in the world. A time when dreams felt possible even ten years later. Today, it feels like everything could fall apart in just ten minutes. But her voice evokes that simplicity and hope from the past.”

I’ve never played such a layered character before. It’s not just a story of a woman or a man — it’s the journey of a human being. An emotional, mature, and hope-filled path that touches the heart.”

Fatima also talked about the idea of equal love, saying the film highlights the importance of equality in relationships — even when there's an age gap or different life perspectives.
