Over the years, he has established his place as an anchor, moderator, and voice-over actor and certainly enjoys a lot of credibility and respect which he has always deserved. Although he has done almost everything related to entertainment, acting was something he did not pay attention to despite many recommendations from his fraternity colleagues. well, guess what? It seems like he is skyrocketing and scaling new heights as he has also started his journey as an actor. Yes, that is correct. Sachin Kumbhar Opens Up About Racism Impacting His Acting Career

As far as his acting is concerned, things may seem very easy and normal from the outside, but the reality is very different. Unfortunately, Sachin had to deal with racism in his early days which broke his confidence as an actor. That's when he decided to put aside his acting ambitions to focus on his career as a host. However, destiny definitely had other plans for him, and no surprise, he was back where he was for sure. When asked more about how the confident host, moderator, and voice-over artiste lost faith in himself as an actor and how things started working out for him once again, an emotional Sachin had this to say: shared, "I came to India from Dubai around 2011-2012 because I wanted to become an anchor, voiceover artist, and also an actor. I remember it was 2014 when I went for an acting audition and I was told clearly to my face that they were looking for a fair (white-skinned) person. This completely dejected me and from then till last year, I did not pay any attention towards acting at all. Ironically, it was an audition where I was called out by colleagues. This racism was something that completely clouded my vision as an actor."

He further says, "I have been asked by many people over the years to focus on acting, but I never took it up. However, it is the producer and casting director of this project, Kashyap Chandhok, who brought me back.  He has been behind me for the last 6-7 years, we have been friends and he always believed in me that I should act. However, I somehow never gave it any time or attention. Whenever we met, he always insisted that I should act. Finally last year, they called me and literally said they needed three days of mine for a film. That's how he got me into acting and it opened doors for me. He is someone who believed in me even without seeing me and no wonder, it was a complete revelation to me. So yes, that's how things happened for me again in acting."

When asked more about his role and character, he shared, "I am known as a fashion icon who always wears tuxedos and fabulous dresses. However, my character here is the complete opposite. It is non-glamorous. I play a life insurance agent from the outskirts of Mumbai (Nallasopara) named Sanket Patil, who is a conscious but under-confident, scantily-clad man. He belongs to a lower middle class Maharashtrian family and his dream is to become a rich man one day and own a bungalow in Mumbai. It is completely different from my real-life personality as an anchor and it is very close to my heart because it is 'Marathi Mulga' hence I can also get influenced by this character a lot. The debut is really special and close to my heart."

As an anchor and host, Sachin has always been on top of his game and has performed brilliantly in every department.
