After BB, Akshay and Abhishek, Kartik Enters the Property Business

Just like the film business, the property market in Mumbai has also been a hot topic. Recently, amidst the downturn in the film industry, several Bollywood stars have started showing interest in the property business. Along with Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, the latest buzz is that Abhishek Bachchan and Kartik Aaryan are also expanding their connections with builders and real estate agents.

Amitabh Bachchan Sells Property, Prices Skyrocket

Recently, it was reported that Amitabh Bachchan sold one of his properties. While he owns five bungalows in Mumbai, he primarily resides in 'Jalsa'. Last year, he was in the news for purchasing a property in a new complex in Andheri West, and this year, in 2025, he made headlines again by selling one of his homes. After he bought his property, the rates in that complex skyrocketed. Many high-profile individuals showed interest in buying homes there, simply because they could say they lived in a building where Amitabh Bachchan resided. It was later revealed that Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon had moved in as a tenant in the same complex. In no time, property prices in the complex increased exponentially. Consequently, the builder community requested Bachchan not to sell his house, as doing so would cause a drop in property prices.

Akshay Kumar’s Real Estate Moves: Borivali to Juhu

Akshay Kumar, another major star, has also been actively buying and selling properties. Like Amitabh, Akshay resides in Juhu, where his wife, Twinkle Khanna, has designed their home magnificently. Akshay's interest in real estate grew after receiving blessings from his father-in-law, Rajesh Khanna, during a property deal. He owns several properties in Mumbai. Recently, Akshay sold a property in Borivali East’s Sky City (by Oberoi Realty). He had purchased it for ₹2.38 crores in 2017 and sold it for ₹4.25 crores in January. A real estate advisor revealed that when Akshay buys or sells a property, he does so under his real name, Rajiv Kumar Bhatiya, and sometimes even takes a commission as a broker.

Abhishek Bachchan: Bollywood Stars Turn to Real Estate

While Abhishek Bachchan may be distanced from the film industry, he remains actively involved in the property business alongside his father, Amitabh Bachchan. Abhishek recently bought an upscale flat in a high-profile society near their family home, 'Jalsa'. Akshay Kumar also owns a property in the same building. Interestingly, it was Akshay who helped Abhishek buy this property. Many believe that, given the current slump in the film industry, both Akshay and Abhishek have turned to real estate to secure their financial future.

Kartik Aaryan Buys His Struggle Days' Home, Emotional

Despite the ups and downs in the film industry, Kartik Aaryan’s career is currently soaring, especially after the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. When Kartik first arrived in Mumbai, he started his journey in a rented apartment. As his financial situation improved, he focused on buying a home. Today, Kartik owns several flats. Recently, he came across a property that was up for sale—the same property where he had once lived during his struggling days. This was the same place his mother had visited him at that time. Kartik purchased the property, and the emotional moment was made even more special when he had his mother inaugurate the house.

It seems that today, Bollywood stars are not only making their mark in the film industry but are also delving into the real estate business, which has proven to be a lucrative and stable investment during uncertain times in the entertainment world.
