Ajay Devgn ('Jassi') returns with 'Son of Sardaar-2 with patiala-pegs of "Scotch" Fun-jabi hungama backed by Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan and Chunky Pandey ! by Chaitanya Padukone

Mega-star Ajay Devgn was in a witty mood, this afternoon. When asked by the news-media to comment on the current regional language versus Hindi volatile debate, the cool super-actor smiled and responded with his popular Singham dialogue " Aata Maajhi Sataklli' ( which means 'I am losing my temper') . This was the was at the trailer launch of  Devgn's latest multi-starrer movie trailer of 'Son of Sardaar 2' directed by Punjabi movies veteran National Film award winning director Vijay Kumar Arora. who is also otherwise an eminent ace cinematographer for many landmark Hindi movies directed by Mahesh Manjrekar including  'Vaastav' (1999) starring Sanjay Dutt  and 'Viruddh' (2005) starring Amitabh Bachchan.

Speaking to me exclusively,  director Vijay-paaji ( fondly called 'Daadu') said, " Our movie SoS-2 a laugh-riot comedy madness shot in exotic outdoor locations in  Edinburgh capital city ( Scotland)  and other cities as well with its Punjabi flavour . But with a 'Scotch' intoxication of pure family entertainment. Audiences will get a pleasant hilarious shock to watch  mega-star Ajay Devgn as Jaswinder 'Jassi', charming heroine  Mrunal Thakur.( as 'Rabia'),   super-star Ravi Kishan as 'Sardarji Raja') Chunky Pandey,( as a quirky vilaayati  'Danish'), 'late' actor Mukul Dev, Deepak Dobriyal ( in 'female' get-up)  Ashwini Kalsekar, Sanjay Mishra, and the rest of the entire cast all in contrasting roles and screen-characters,and terrific performances, they have never possibly been seen before Although there is this Sardar-Punjabi flavour the subject and treatment will connect to cine-goers from every region and all communities, " assures the director 'Daadu' Arora

From the swag-filled title track to a unique take on romance with Pehla Tu Duja Tu, with the amazing 1-2-3-4 palm-fingers movements,  the makers have struck the right chord, making millions of  fans eagerly wait for Friday 25th July 2025 ! The trailer takes off with a delightful nostalgia trip to Son of Sardaar, transporting audiences into Jassi’s chaotic and fun-packed life in Son of Sardaar 2. Packed with every ingredient of a masala comedy entertainer, this trailer promises laughter, drama, and plenty of hungama! 

When it’s Jassi, expect everything to be classy, massy, and unapologetically Desi. He survived Punjab, will he survive Scotland too?  

Directed by veteran Vijay Kumar Arora, the film boasts a power-packed starcast featuring Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, Sahil Mehta, and the late Mukul Dev.
