Battle of Galwan: Chitrangda Singh to Star with Salman Khan, Confirms Director Lakhia

Battle of Galwan:Bollywood actor Salman Khan will now be seen in 'Battle of Galwan' after Sikandar. The first look of this film of Salman, soaked in blood, was released last week. However, information about the rest of the cast was kept secret. Now news is coming that Chitrangda Singh will be seen in the lead role with Salman Khan in 'Battle of Galwan'.

This war drama, based on real events that took place on the India-China border, marks the first collaboration between Salman and Chitrangada.

Director Apoorva Lakhia praised Chitrangada's talent and her screen presence. He said, "I always wanted to work with Chitrangada after seeing her excellent performance in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and then Bob Biswas. We are happy to welcome Chitrangada Singh to the cast of Battle of Galwan. She brings a unique blend of strength and sensitivity that will further enhance Salman Sir's serious but calm personality".

Additionally, sources close to the production said that Apoorva Lakhia was looking for someone who could convey resilience, sensitivity and emotional depth with equal finesse, qualities that Chitrangada displayed effortlessly. He was particularly impressed by her photographs taken at India Gate, where her effortless poise and calmness perfectly captured the essence of the character. Her subtle acting style and effortless screen presence made her the ideal choice for the role.

 The film "Battle of Galwan" will be based on the intense backdrop of the 2020 Galwan Valley conflict, showcasing the real-life valor of the Indian armed forces during that period. Bound by standing agreements banning firing, the confrontation became one of the deadliest border skirmishes in forty years. Despite difficult odds and extreme conditions, the Indian Army displayed extraordinary courage and manhandled the garrison with makeshift weapons such as stones and sticks.
