As is their annual tradition, cousins and star-actresses  Kajol Devgn and Rani Mukerji-Chopra had an emotional re-union along with Tanishaa, Samrat Mukherjee, Sharbani Mukherjee, Ayan Mukherji, Rema Lahiri, and Rego B at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja (2025) pandal during the Sthapana ( installation) of the Maa Durga Pratima ( idol) and on the following two days.

The divine large Murti of Maa Durga was unveiled at the @northbombaydurgapuja public-access pandal at Mumbai-Juhu-SNDT spacious campus grounds amidst chants, sacred sounds of conch shells, and boundless devotion. The Goddess has arrived to bless all her Devotees. From 28th Sept to 2nd Oct, 2025, devotees will experience the grandeur of the celebs-studded 79th North Bombay Durga Puja — faith, festivity & heritage with over an estimated 2 lakh plus devotees daily..

The Durga Pujo religious ceremony saw the presence of celebs Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Tanishaa Mukerji, Ayan Mukerji, Rema Lahiri, Govind Bansal, Swastik Bansal (Rego B ), Sumona Chakravarti, Nysa ( Ajay) Devgn, Yug (Ajay) Devgan, Shamita Mukherjee, and popular political luminary Minister Ashish Shelar-jee, and many others.

It was an emotionally tearful-touching scene at the Pandal when Kajol hugged eminent director Ayan Mukerji, who lost his father ('late' eminent actor-film-maker Debu-da Mukerji) on March 14, this year. Who was the dynamic driving force behind the North Bombay Durga Pujo year-after-year.

Elegant style-icon-actress-dancer Tanishaa Mukerji adorned herself with her grandmother’s cherished ring and her father’s treasured pendant. The committee members paid rich tributes and homage to Late Deb ( Debu-da) Mukherjee who was the pillar of the annual Durga Pujo. and also to 'late' Ronu-Da Mukherjee ( father of Sharbani and Samrat). Young rockstar singer-composer Rego B also unveiled his latest Pujo song ‘Bolo Bolo Maa Durga’.
