Rajan Lall’s Book Launch: On Sunday, March 2, the much-awaited biography of renowned filmmaker Rajan Lall, titled "I Did It My Way: My Life of Love, Betrayal, Regret & Wisdom", was grandly launched in Mumbai. The event witnessed several prominent figures from the film industry, including Shatrughan Sinha, Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan, Ranjeet, and Anupam Kher, making it a memorable occasion.
Rajan Lall's Speech
At the book launch, Rajan Lall expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am truly happy to have you all here for my book launch. This book started being written four years ago. This book isn’t about my accomplishments or what I’ve achieved in life. Instead, it’s about the mistakes I’ve made, how they affected me, my family, and others around me, and the consequences that followed. I hope that when you read it, you will learn something from it. I dedicate this book to my Bollywood friend, Sunil Dutt."
Anupam Kher’s Emotional Tribute
Anupam Kher, in his speech, reminisced about his friendship with Rajan Lall, saying, "During my struggling days, I often visited Mahesh Bhatt’s house, but I also used to go to Rajan ji’s home, which was in the same building. I would eat at his place and cry on his shoulder. I remember, just 10 days before the shooting of Saaransh, I was dropped from the film. I cried with Rajan and cursed Bhatt saab. I am grateful to Rajan for standing by me when my life was at its lowest."
Anupam also mentioned how Rajan Lall has always lived his life on his own terms, and how the title of the book, I Did It My Way, suits him perfectly. He added, "We’ve been friends for 40-42 years now. Not only is he a great actor, but he is also a wonderful human being."
He also shared an anecdote about his early days in Bollywood, saying, "When I entered the industry, I realized how important hairstyles were. Directors would often ask, ‘Everything is fine, but what about the hairstyle?’ I had won a gold medal at drama school, but that didn’t seem to matter. When I was dropped from Saaransh, I was planning to go back to Shimla, but Rajan gave me a place under his wing, like a tree offering its shade. His kindness, which I experienced back then, still shines through today."

Is kadar humse takaful bhi na barto saheb, hum bhi kuch apni duaon mein asar rakhte hain."
