The year 2024 hasn't been favorable for Bollywood. In fact, even the Malayalam film industry suffered a loss of ₹700 crore in 2024. As for Bollywood, the numbers are yet to be revealed, so we don't know the extent of the damage. However, with the start of 2025, there were high expectations.
Unfortunately, on January 10, Sonu Sood's film Fateh and Ram Charan's Telugu film Game Changer were released in Hindi dub, and both of these films received a massive setback at the box office. Their performances were disappointing.
Now, all eyes are on two major films releasing on January 17: Azaad, starring Ajay Devgn, Aman Devgn, and Rasha Thadani, and Emergency, directed by and starring Kangana Ranaut. Unfortunately, the trailers of both films haven’t generated much excitement. Moreover, there has been little buzz surrounding them, and their promotion has not been handled effectively. Based on my forty years of experience in film journalism, I believe the PR and marketing teams associated with Bollywood films need to rethink their strategies. What they do next, only they can decide.
However, even before the release of these films, some astrologers and numerologists have made predictions regarding their box office performance. Here, we present the predictions made by Jaipur-based numerologist Dr. Kumar Ganesh, which he shared on the 'Ravi Bulle Official' YouTube channel:
“The film Emergency will flop badly.”
Dr. Kumar Ganesh predicts: "When we analyze the numbers associated with the actors, producers, directors, and the film itself, including the film's release date, we can draw conclusions. As far as Emergency is concerned, the film's numerology isn't favorable. The film's name has a number 2, but the final numbers for the producer, director, and cast don’t give a good omen. The actors, Shreyas Talpade (playing Atal Bihari Vajpayee) and Anupam Kher (playing Jai Prakash Narayan), don't quite fit their roles. I believe Emergency will perform terribly at the box office and will be a major disaster. For Kangana, this film will be a nightmare. The year 2025 seems to signal her exit from both the political and film industries."
“Azaad will witness desolation at the box office.”
Regarding the film Azaad, Dr. Kumar Ganesh comments: "Ajay Devgn has removed the letter 'A' from the spelling of his last name, likely following the advice of a numerologist. However, from my perspective, this was not a good decision. As for Azaad, I don’t see anything promising for the film. It is destined to fail terribly. The box office will be filled with desolation for this film."
