But Atlee Kumar, one of the most well-known figures in Indian cinema, has carved out a unique position for himself. During his brief career, Atlee has emerged as one of the most sought-after filmmakers in the Indian film business.

Atlee’s Journey: From Shankar’s Protege to ‘Raja Rani’ Success

Atlee gained experience in the early stages of his career working with filmmaker Shankar, where he was exposed to the subtleties of filmmaking, such as the value of strong storytelling, technical mastery, and big visual spectacle. After directing "Raja Rani" in 2013, Atlee became known as a new director in Indian cinema because of the film's critical and commercial success.

Atlee showed from the start of his first movie that he could strike a balance between mass appeal and powerful emotional stories. His stories were thought-provoking, funny, and moved the crowd. Atlee's breakthrough occurred when he collaborated in "Theri (2016) with Vijay, the superstar of Tamil cinema.

After "Theri" he collaborated with Vijay on "Mersal" (2017) and "Bigil" (2019). After a successful start in south cinema Atlee made his greatest move with Shah Rukh Khan fronted high-octane action thriller "Jawan" in 2023.
