After the screening, Amitabh Bachchan shared his thoughts about the film and Agastya’s performance through his blog. He wrote that watching Agastya on the big screen brought back a flood of memories—from his birth to his growing-up years. Beyond the emotional connection, Big B openly praised Agastya’s acting as well.

According to him, Agastya’s performance was mature, restrained, and completely in sync with the character. He mentioned that Agastya portrayed the role of Arun Khetarpal with complete honesty and without any artificiality, which directly touches the heart. Big B added that whenever Agastya appears on screen, the viewer’s attention naturally stays focused on him. He clarified that this praise was not due to a family connection but an honest reaction from an experienced viewer. He also described the film’s story, writing, and direction as almost flawless and said that by the end of the film, one’s eyes fill with tears of pride and joy.

Agastya Nanda’s Role in Ikkis

In Ikkis, Agastya Nanda plays the role of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikander Kher. Legendary actor Dharmendra, who passed away recently, is also a part of the film and plays Agastya’s father. This marks Dharmendra’s final film appearance. Arun Khetarpal was martyred at the age of 21 during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

Initially, Ikkis was scheduled to release on December 25, 2025. However, the release date has now been shifted, and the film will hit theatres on January 1, 2026.
