Since religious-minded Vindu who has not only acted as Lord Hanuman in a TV show, but is also a real-life staunch Hanuman-bhakt, and observes a strict 'fast' on his birthday--which this year has fallen on a Tuesday ( May 6th).

As a senior film journalist I had known Dara Singh-jee, and I have known Vindu since maybe 1994 ( 30 years ago). Emotional yet daring natured Vindu's lavish party on Sunday evening sparkled with splendor and heartfelt celebration even as it unfolded his charismatic personality.

This time due to personal health reasons, unfortunately, I missed his Sunday birthday party, but I wished him today on phone. since today ( May 6th) is his actual Birthday

The 'bade-dilwale' Vindu Dara Singh, who is a close friend of Salman Khan marked his birthday in truly magnificent style. Apparently, Salman-bhai (who was unable to attend), 'gifted' Vindu, a beautiful lucky-charm wrist turqoise metallic bracelet similar to the one he regularly wears. As his co-star Vindu has acted in several movies with Salman as the lead-hero including Garv: Pride & Honour (2004) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi ( 2004) and Partner ( 2007)

The late-evening celebration saw the presence of celebs like iconic yesteryear actress, evergreen, royal-aura Mumtaz-jee (who is also related to Vindu , since his aunt Mallika Randhawa is Mumtaz's sister ) Also Mumtaz-jee was his legendary father famous actor-wrestler Dara Singh's heroine in over 12 movies including Sikandar-e-Azam (1965) .
